That’s one intelligent, snide way to endear yourself to your new club. I love it!

Too often we’ve been burnt by a guy looking to get a contract extension on the back of excellent form ( how much is that form coming naturally vs the dangling carrot of contract extension?). I don’t see why the club wouldn’t try to extend, but by God I hope its not for more than a year… absolute maximum 2 and something that’s not blowing the wage structure apart.

I genuinely had flashbacks of 2013/14 and Suarez tonight. Dropped silly points at Newcastle, while star forward is doing all he can to drag the team forward towards the title. He looked like someone had died at the end of the match.

Mo was brilliant. The sheer force of will to win was palpable. But for an unfortunate Kelleher mistake Salah would have made sure we came home with all three points there.

I don’t know the terms being discussed, or indeed what other possible options we might have in mind, but I hope Mo signs a new deal.

Salah’s FPL points are ridiculous

Does mean it’s another 4 wins until we drop points again?

Wouldn’t be against that but that game would be West Ham, maybe a new manager bounce?

Former Egypt international Haytham Farouk has claimed that Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract with Liverpool.

Farouk wrote on Twitter : “Congratulations on renewing your contract with the number you like and the period you want. The Egyptian king rules with his own judgments.”

The former defender is also a popular analyst on beIN Sports, and has a connection with Salah.

A what?

A ruse. A cunning attempt to trick us.

Ruse?

Hell no! That looks suspiciously like Russian to me. So it’s obviously a bot. Bloody communists!

I’m not saying Mo has or hasn’t signed, but whatever we are going to get - whether it is 1, 2 or 3 renewals - I do see merit in announcing them together. It would give us a little boost and sharpen the focus on the job in hand too.

Thinking about it further, if say two are announced, the one that isn’t announced becomes much clearer too!

Just in time for Christmas, too.

Virgil as Santa and the other two as his elves is my prediction for how the marketing team will deliver the news.

I do feel we’d be hearing a lot more from his agent if there hadn’t been contact.

Piss easy job this social media malarkey.

Now where’s my freelance social media money John?

Yes there is a rumour that the two parties had agreed a compromise of a 2 Year extension as the club was only offering one year and Abbas was negotiating for a 3 years extension, the money was never the stumbling block as he would have been on the same money. Virgil is not far off either same 2 year extension. There is no progress for Trent.
