Moises Caicedo (DM/CM/RB) Brighton and Hove Albion

To me at this point only a few things matter:

The owners are willing to stump up the money when necessary required by Klopp.

If it’s true that Moises did specifically tell us that he prefers Chelsea, there is no way we should take him even if Chelsea fails to find a bid to Brighton. Not sure Klopp will even accept such a player. Unless this ‘i only want chelsea’, is coming from mouthpieces than Moises can we see any turnaround.

What will we do since it’s obvious that we want a player in if at worst, Lavia and Moises go to Chelsea? I am sure we have options but will match so near, it’s best to lay off abit and concentrate on beating Chelsea where it matters.

Stop posting text and start drawing pictures to entice him to join us!

Maybe the pictures scared Moises away.

Hadn’t considered that. Maybe if he just uses blue crayons?

Over 1200 posts in the last 23 hours. Must be a record.

4 posts in the past hour? Pathetic.

Maybe the third purple jersey scared him away. He doesn’t look good in purple.

Thought experiment

Lets say we got the encouragement to bid, then came to an agreement with his club for a British transfer record fee, only for the player to turn around and say he doesnt want to join after all because he wants to play for chelsea. Do you, or does anyone, think Klopp hang around and wait to see if we can win a player who doesnt want us by default?

If the answer is no, then the conclusion of the thought experiment is that the player has not said any such thing, and whatever is holding up the deal is far more reasonable and acceptable.

He actually said he was allowed by the club to confirm the acceptance of a bid. That’s not what I’m talking about. It’s the embarrassment of having all this playing out 2 days before we start our season, and against them.

Tbh i am not really happy if we get him now. Pain in the ass one day unless he fires his agent or something.

Do you wanna know the most embarrassing part in all of this embarrassing shenanigans? The embarrassment of fans getting embarrassed over something that couldn’t be any less embarrassing that they lose conscience, embarrassingly so, though the club embarrassingly wanna try embarrass the fans by playing along this embarrassing game of charades with an embarrassing club, it’s an embarrassment what kind of fools wouldn’t be embarrassed by this, but rest assured for the real fans be embarrassed not, for we shall embarrass the embarrassment of embarrassters that is Chelsea FC. Ok?

What does all that mean. Too many embarrassments in there. Come on Sunday.

I’m embarrassed to ask.

Suppose finishing 13th after spending all that in January was pretty embarrassing

Does that mean someone, somewhere is embarrassed?

But we don’t know that for sure. All we know is that someone, possibly his agent or even CFC with the agent’s collusion, is briefing the media that the player wants to join CFC. We don’t know what the player himself actually thinks. Even if he were to say that he wants to join CFC, he would probably just be following his agent’s advice as that is what he has always done.

Anyway, I can’t see us buying him and we should get Lavia signed before we lose him to Chelsea too.

Emm,…

Well he technically hasn’t signed for them yet.

Morning!

Fuck Chelsea.

And City and Utd, for that matter.

Morning

This is beyond messy. I hope we walk away. There’s little hope salvage any goodwill towards Caicedo if we sign him, regardless of whether it’s his agent/entourage or himself that’s playing silly buggers with us. Both clubs really but I don’t give two shits about Chelsea.

No single player is worth this much disruption.

We get Trinidade or Lavia or whoever. We have the money. This is massive disrespect to a great club.

Yes I was annoyed that we hadn’t signed a 6 and the whole tug of war with the saints over an unproven pro and yes I was very excited about Moises being the final piece of Klopp’s Midfield 2.0…but some behaviour we should absolutely not abide by.
