Yeah, not true. Weāve had an interest for at least a year. And we let it be known. Circunstances changed which gave us an opportunity to go all in, ie getting 8 players off our books.
The player has a decision to make. LFC can leave the bid in while heās making it while exploring other options. If itās about his football career itās an easy one. If itās about quality of life, again itās easy.
Itās not complicated.
Joburgh or Cape Town? Oof, devil and deep blue sea. Neither thanks. That was an easy decision.

Our bid is, at the very least, going to force a rival to spend more than they wantā¦ thatās why we leave it there.
Nothing to say we have to progress with the deal if the Chelsea move falls through.

Yep. Seems like his agent has been a bit of a tosser. No way we bid unless we were given indication he would want to come to us.

Right, anybody who thinks that we made an agreement with Brighton for a club record of Ā£111m without asking if the player wants to sign a contract with us and getting a positive answer to that question should think again.

Our interest was short lived and last year. Chelsea were by far the most interested and furthest along with being able to get him. Not sure why you think itās an easy decision for him, youāre not him and you have no idea whatās at stake for him personally. Entitled post and opinion if ever I saw one.

Damn wish kopstar was still around to help make sense of some of this, I did post a link about the rules about transfers etc earlier but I am still struggling with something .
So as it stands we have made a bid (via auction) that has been accepted by Brighton.
The player initially had no problem with joining us.
But again from our pov not knowing the ins & outsā¦Chelsea apparently contacted his agent with the specific aim to cause disruption, and allegedly contacted a itk with the purpose of him creating untruths which other itkās then spread because they as the title states are āin the knowā.
At what point does the ruling bodies of the fa, uefa , FIFA etc ( again if itās true, but something is off) step in and say something?
Itās crazy that a selling club sets out the conditions, we meet them all and then surreptitious behaviour of the Chelsea lot ( see their spending ) seems to cause this issue, seriously not understanding how rules seem to apply to other teams but not for the likes of Chelsea & city etc.
Itās crazy that a team that goes into receivership because they are skint gets fined and point deducted this making it almost certain they will never win promotion or stay in top flight etc ā¦making their financial situation worseā¦
But clubs that are considered rich, break FFP rules because like society in general the rich can do what they want , and only get a token fine which they can afford to pay and then next transfer window can continue to break said rules.
