You said we were the disruptive party. Just not true. Wasn’t arguing about who was further along in the deal.
As regards the other stuff, you don’t know anymore than I do about his decision making process. It could be living in London or Liverpool, it could just boil down to who’s paying the most cash.
As regards the snidey comments over the cities, I apologize.
You do seem to be getting quite wound up about this transfer saga though. So give yer own head a wobble.
They didnt give us a deadline though. Brighton at no point put out an official statement saying that there was a deadline. They fed a line to journalists, which is not even remotely the same thing. There was nothing legally binding about the “auction” as there simply was no actual auction. Until Caicedo leaves Brighton and signs a contract elsewhere any club on the planet can bid for him, and if it meets Brightons valuation they can allow the team permission to deal with the player.
All the accepted bid guarentees is the right to engage with Caicedo directly. Nothing more. Chelsea, for all their bluster, have so far only dealt with the agents not the player directly. The agents almost definitely in contact with Caicedo, but as a middleman and therefore not breaking any regulations. Until a contract is signed by Caicedo nothing is done. The bid we submitted will have the caveat of “if Caicedo signs with Liverpool FC”. Absolutely nothing is set, beyond the fact that Brighton are ok with us meeting with Caicedo. Until Caicedo signs for us none of our money is on the line, same reason we wont pay anything if he doesnt want to come here or fails his medical. Thats also why Chelsea were able to get so far with Tyler Adams before pulling the plug, the money and transfer doesnt count until every aspect of the deal is complete.
Why withdraw the offer? We still have the funds to do any business we need to do. Then we can withdraw the offer if needed. Make Chelsea pay as much as poss.
Not at all. Read my rather considered posts about why this may or may not go our way and decrying the animosity to Caicedo on here as well as the flapping hands saying we must definitely pull out. If we’d let a Caicedo transfer lie, let Chelsea talk to his camp and bid for him for months and then suddenly come back in then yes, we are the disruptive party here. Nothing wrong with admitting that and nothing wrong with trying our luck. Not rocket science, matey.
Nothing wound up at all. You decided to pull out the snide buddy. Give it a rest, not interested in getting involved with a strawman, eh?
Understand calling them rent boys is hate speech but I was previously thinking that this is because 9f them not owning their own stadium and renting their ground instead
It would look like this. Moisés, time is marching on. Chelsea haven’t matched Liverpool’s bid. We need to get some players in. The world doesn’t revolve around you. So, if Chelsea haven’t matched LFC’s bid by … you’re staying or going to LFC. Same conversation with Chelsea.
Just had a read through some of their thoughts , quite interesting , most seem to think he should come to us , talks of how he is shy religious etc and how his agents are shitbags.
Also say he used to hang out with Mac and others etc and how they feel at Chelsea he will not have that sort of support, and that he would at Liverpool .
Genuinely seems that Brighton fans are not as toxic as most .
