To be honest I won’t slag him off if he is seeing if Chelsea can match their bid. If they have sold him something it makes sense but it’s going be up to the player now.
I wonder if things will move on post match tomorrow with us being down there. Can’t think the suits in their boxes will be cordial.
End of the day if the player is sold on Chelsea I don’t see what the point of us having a bid in is.
Which makes me believe it’s not Chelsea or nothing and discussions are taking place.
With Chelsea trying to bring him in back in January but being unable to,why did they not advise him to hold tight and not sign a new contract?Did he not speak to them back then?
Think their owner is counting the currency notes on a serious note they simply can’t match the bid without selling a player. The way they pulled out of Tyler Adams 20 million move prove this theory.
Brighton don’t have to accept 115M as well especially if the add-on’s are deemed unattainable , the payment structure not to their liking etc.
This could easily be a chelsea bid saying 70+45 in addon’s where the payment structure is not in brighton’s agreement and one of the addon clauses is incumbent on Caicedo winning Balon D’or
I find this the funniest tweet if it comes from Romano as he seems to be warning the LFC owners that they can’t afford Caicedo.Does he know LFCs finances better than FSG
Ya. They don’t want to accept they are broke. Their last bid was 70 +10 in add-ons. With them pulling out of Adams deal think their bid will be 90+ say 25 million in add-ons. I just looked at their squad. I wouldn’t be surprised if they scrap along with the relegation teams. Not sure on whom they have spent all the money. I don’t see anyone proven in the premier league.
Brighton as well as other clubs will need to be careful of add ons.Haven’t we just lost out on a fair few quid as Bayern sold Mane before certain conditions were met.
