It is the player who wont sign (yet). Until that deal is done Brighton are completely within their rights, both legally and ethically, to consider other offers as they come in. It is up to us to close our own deal and cannot expect Brighton to sit around for ever waiting for that to happen. It is not uncommon at all for a selling club to agree to terms with multiple clubs and then let the player decide.
I’ve no issue at all with Brighton in this. FFP is a joke though and PL football has become a sickening billionaire playground. When Klopp leaves I think I might lose interest, which would be sad since I’ve watched almost every game for the past 30 years
