In some respects fair play to Chelsea. Whether you like them or not is immaterial. But they’re shown real desire to get this deal done over the line. On the basis it actually goes through.

Who is Caicedo’s agent? They seem to be a bit of a nightmare. If he isn’t signing for us I’d be quite happy not having parasites like that in the background.

The club were very naive to bid a British record fee without agreeing terms with the player, I doubt they’ll be doing it again.
I thought Caicedo was overpriced & I’m not keen on Lavia but it’s going to be a bit of embarrassment if Chelsea sign both.
I don’t really watch much foreign football these days, but there must be players we can get at a similar level for a fraction of the cost. Otherwise what’s the point of our scouts.
