I don’t even watch the in between highlights stuff at MOTD, I just scroll to the next game. MNF is much better for analysis, albeit less consistent as they won’t cover everything equally as MOTD. But it has that freedom and ability to get deep into certain topics.

If ever anyone wonders why football analysis is going to the dogs - Just listen anytime to the drivel this guy spouts…

He’s such a salty prat when Man City lose.

Yeah I’m going with this guy as my least favourite, Jenas seems genuinely unhappy in life. I suppose interviewing dogs on the one show will do that.

I love meeting with old mates talking shite about footy in the pub and having a laugh, best thing IMO

Yeah but no one’s paying you and recording it and Micah fucking Richards isn’t laughing over your conversations.

‘People will think I’m off my head’ - Harry Redknapp names who should be the next Liverpool manager

Harry Redknapp has picked who he believes should be Jurgen Klopp’s successor at Liverpool

Speaking to BetVictor, Redknapp said: “I’m going to say somebody and people are going to think that I’m off my head, but I would give it to Steven Gerrard.

“I know people will say that he was a failure at Aston Villa and it didn’t go great there, but he’s a Liverpool man and was an incredible player for them. He’s got passion for the game and I used to listen to him speak when he was at Rangers and always thought he was going to be top drawer. I would love to see him manage Liverpool.

“Xabi Alonso would be a good choice as well but there’s every chance he will go to Bayern Munich - they’re a massive club as well who managed to get Harry Kane to leave the Premier League last summer. I know I’m probably not in the majority when I say it should be Steven Gerrard but I’ve still got belief in him - I don’t write people off.

Thankfully Redknapp isn’t anywhere near our club.

Your right 'arry. We do think your off your head.

Now shut up and let the experts do their job.

Aww thank you Quicksand this one is for our mums too. They were pioneers in their day.

Nevertheless, many of these successful women have a good partner in their lives who supported them too.

Not sure if that’s anatomically possible.

Does it need to be to make it a great insult?

Pretty sure this is the best thing ever written on the internet.

Carra crossed a line here this week that I’m surprised he still has a job.

The US coverage of the CL typically includes a 3 person panel of him, Micah and, Henry, with them being anchored by a woman from Manchester called Kate Abdo. Generally, it is a shit show with Carra and Richards just acting like clowns…lowest common denominator “changing room banter” stuff. On Tuesday, while discussing club loyalty Carra quipped that Abdo was “not loyal to Malik”, (her fiancée).

The contrast between the juvenile Carra on the US coverage and the insightful analyst who broke through in his partnership with Neville in the UK is stark. But something like this was inevitable given how “laddy” and juvenile the US coverage has been allowed to be.
