Ferrari is doing everything to find a new driver to replace Leclerc. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That’s put to bed then - Alpine likely pissed!

Good grief, I can’t stand Simon Lazenby as the Sky F1 host. He is such a shit stirrer and have no tact, but thought that he was being funny. Many times, he puts other co-hosts in very awkward situation. At least the others were professional about it. I would have told him to back off on some of his tactless comments.

That’s why he’s employed by Sky.

Stay classy Lewis

This is becoming a pretty sad joke of a year for Ferrari. Now the brakes for the transport truck caught fire.

:ghost::ghost:

Just watched the Monza GP this evening.

Another botched safety car procedure resulting in another Max victory. Someone needs sacking.

Good effort De Vries.

Alex Albon has suffered respiratory failure after surgery to remove his appendix. He is now in stable condition and is expected to return home tomorrow.

Bloody hell, hope the lad gets well soon.

Hopefully spurs on Hamilton to retire.

Suspect Lewis’ decision to retire has and will have zero to do with Max.

I just mean being so far off the pace this year as opposed to who won the title.

Hamilton was robbed last year. Very clear to see.

Then the car went backwards and if his hunger didn’t diminish, certainly Verstappen had his appetite whetted, and is now on the move to grow his own career.

I can’t see Hamilton getting back to where he was, and he should retire. He has loads of money and can do whatever he wants. Mind you, if continuing to drive in F1 is what he wants, then good luck to him.

Hopefully he can get a decent car under him for a real go at it next season, if he keeps going.

Oops

Red Bull exceeded the $145m (£114m) limit during 2021, the FIA said, adding that the offence was “minor”, the lower of the two categories of breach.

This means the team exceeded the cap by less than 5%, or $7.25m.

The FIA did not reveal the amount by which Red Bull exceeded the cap, how it had done so, or what penalties would be applied. It said it was “currently determining appropriate action”.

"$5m is about half a second, $1-2m is 0.1-0.2secs, which can be the difference between second on the grid to pole.

Suspect this will rumble on for a while given RBR can appeal etc. Everyone calling for transparency. This budget cap breach will be a test of the F1 rules…will it be akin the FFP, or, if RBR are guilty, will the punishment be in line with the level of breach. I hope the latter.

It will be unsatisfactory if Red Bull lose last season’s title based on a modest financial transgression.

However, it will be less unsatisfactory than them winning last season’s title in the way they did.

So on balance, even though you wouldn’t want to win a title this way, Hamilton legitimately should have won it anyway, so I would laugh my tits off if Hamilton is retroactively awarded title number 8.

Fingers crossed.

Could the 2021 title be any more tainted/illegitimate?
