Oh, Hamster cried about RB spending more money. Awwwww. Hypocrite. Love it when someone is getting under Hamster’s skin.

Is the new F1 car by FIA even longer? No wonder why F1 racing is so boring. Those damn things are like cruise ships.

From Reddit: 51 years of Ferrari F1:

It’s not the length of the cars that make the races boring. Actually those “cruise ships“ are faster and safer

Some kindergarten level snitching there

Maybe but have you ever tried overtaking a cruise ship in a cruise ship?
Gocart raceing in comparison is much more fun!

There has been big crash at Silverstone. Hamilton’s wheel just slightlrly touched Verstappen back wheel. Luckily Verstappen left the car unscathed.

Race has been halted for 15 minutes. Not sure who is at fault. Looks unlucky accident to me. Verstappen’s car is a write off.

It is difficult to balance West Side Story watching on BBC2 and F1.t

I thought it was a racing incident, especially considering it was on the first lap. Lewis could have backed off if he really wanted to and Max could have turned in later.

I also think Lewis has had enough of having to be the one to keep avoiding contact.

Max has a habit of putting the responsibilty on the other driver to move and it more often than not works (reminds me a bit of what Senna used to do).

I think we’ll see more of Lewis getting his elbows out and putting the ball in Max’s court on whether he wants to risk contact or not.

Christian Horner has gone full defensive, criticising Lews for his hollow win and celebrations. Asking how he’s going to sleep tonight.

Sour grapes much. Lewis will sleep like a baby

So Red Bull are still seething at the racing incident crash weekend before last - so much so they’ve requested a review, that’s taking place this afternoon.

RBR might regret this, whilst Mercedes will likely relish it. RBR should have got their heads down and carried on. They’ve made a massive meal out of this and it’s only a matter of time until Verstapen is involved in a racing incident deemed his fault and Horner stands there defending him.

As expected, RBR told to do one. Fucking bitter cry babies.

There’s clearly been something else going on around all of this too that’s not been put into the public domain;

The stewards said they “noted with some concern certain allegations” raised by Red Bull. They refused to comment further, and Mercedes also declined to address what Hamilton had been accused of by Red Bull.

From the SSN article;

The verdict statement also made reference to allegations that have not been made public: "The Stewards note, with some concern, certain allegations made in the Competitor’s above letter. Such allegations may or may not have been relevant to the Stewards if the Petition for Review had been granted.

“The Stewards may have addressed these allegations directly in any decision that would have followed. The Petition having been dismissed, the Stewards make no comments on those allegations.”

As much as i would like another driver to win the wdc over hamilton… I’d rather it not be redbull and verstappen

RIP.

2021 24 Hours of Le Mans is going on this weekend.

Link is no good anymore. Here is another one I found:

Ricciardo, well done!

I never have been a fan of McLaren during the days of Ron Dennis or how they treated Honda. But it is still nice to see McLaren other than the usual Merc or RB in the recent era to be at the top of the podium.

You know that Hamster and Verstappen coming together and having both cars taken out was going to come sooner rather than later. Getting more pop corns ready. It’s a racing incident in my point of view.

Bottas couldn’t really care less that Merc and Hamster crashed out.

One of the best MotoGP race…very similar with the battle between Andrea Dovizioso vs Marc Marquez.

At the Aragon Grand Prix, Ducati managed to sort out the cornering of their bikes (plus their straight line speed), and Francesco Bagnaia held off Honda’s Marc Marquez to win his first premier class race.

Horner and Max with the double standards as usual. They come across pretty weak.

Lap 1 - Lewis on the outside, Max closes the door, Lewis aborts the attempt and in that, loses a track position. Max straight on the radio - “I had the corner, I was in first” - instantly defending his closing the door.

Fast forward to the incident, Max outside, Lewis closes the door, Max doesn’t abort, ends up on top of Lewis’ car then claims it’s a 50/50 and that Lewis should have left more space.

3 place grid penalty - not sure that’s enough.

I am really beginning to dislike Max - albeit he’s a great driver, he’s a bit petty. That said, Lewis was the same when he was his age.

I’m not sure Lewis was the same at his age. At the same age he’d barely been in the sport a year, hadn’t he? Had to deal with Alonso throwing strops because he found it difficult to take that a rookie was as fast, if not faster, than he was. Lewis should have won the title in his first season. I remember some grumbling from Lewis early on about the lack of equal treatment or fairness (with undertones of suggestions of racism) but I don’t ever remember Lewis deliberately being petty on the track like Max is, regularly.

Max is very, very fast but there’s a distinct sense of entitlement as well. As if he doesn’t believe that the rules should apply to him. This goes back years as well, right back to his multiple moves under breaking to defend. He’s just reckless but he gets away with more because he’s also very quick. His recklessness also feels deliberate, in a Schumacher type way, rather than because he’s just not very good, like Grosjean or Maldonado.

Really hope Lewis wins the title again this year.

He really wasn’t tbf!

In hindsight, I do agree with you and @Kopstar, they’re not the “same”, and re. same age, in terms of time in the sport is where I was getting at. Lewis was moany, but not the big fish then. So yeah maybe the comparison isn’t fair - albeit I also think that times have changed significantly in terms of our ability to see petulance etc more readily thanks to social media etc and the amount of interviews they do,

I think what I’m trying to get at is that Max is a young lad - all blood and thunder. I dislike him, but I think he will mature over the years, and become likeable (to some). There are, and were a lot of people who think/thought that Lewis was a prick. Guess its just what fans want to see.

Right now I think Max is an entitled tosser, and Horner just gives him the free reign to carry on. I’ll probably never be a fan of his but I appreciate he’s fast and skilful. I had a massive dislike of Michael Schumacher growing up, and Max falls into that same category - albeit I’m not comparing them before you all go on about their differences! :joy:

I’m already on the Lando and George Russel bandwagons once Lewis calls it a day.

Pre being a Mercedes fan, I was a Mclaren fan (going back to the Coulthard and Hakkinen days), so nice to see them back up there. Big fan of Riccardo too.
