What like his Liverpool teammates when he’s picked for the CL away game squad?!
The guy behind the coup d’état looks like those hollywood movie badass villains
Or movie villains are modeled after him
Captain Poison from Blood Diamond.
Ye this guy has seen blood diamond and been like “I like that look, I can pull that off”
Insane
Doesn’t appear to be moving freely in the first photo - injured again? Second pic hints at neck strain and looks like he dropped off the last photo all together - did he fall off the bus? Endless opportunities for our Naby there - Looks like he will certainly need some recovery time post Guinea, again.
Why the hell is that person revealing their escape plans? Loose lips sink ships!
It was posted at 13hr00 1 hour after they had presumably taken off.
Geez, the state of that bus
They aren’t escaping, are they? Since the military has allowed them to leave, don’t think there was any security issue.
Look at Naby-lad. If you thought being a prisoner of war was bad, just look at his crestfallen face as he reads the posts about him from @Dutch @richieh_10 etc
With his injury record not even the Guinean army would have him
Maybe someone much more knowledgeable would have a more thorough understanding of what’s going on in Guinea.
From my understanding the media (dangerous assumption already) has painted Doumbouya a man of the people or at the very least an anti-hero of sorts. He was appointed by their president to run the army but then decided he’d had enough of the corruption and abuses against the people (by the President) so decided to lead the coup.
Thats how I’ve read it.
The president changed the rules allowing him to run for a third term, meanwhile the economy hasn’t grown under his stewardship. He tried to do a Putin but his own army had enough.
Who the fuck would want to be a president of an African country.
Must be forever looking over your shoulder
I get what you mean but that generalisation sometimes irritates me.
There are more than 50 countries in Africa and (believe it or not) there are stable ones
Have you seen how much money these guys embezzel?
For a 12 month stint, I’d give it a shot!
Ye I get what your saying but how many milatary coups have there been in the last 20 years in Africa. Ok they might be the same countries but fucking hell. Be a right dodgey position to be in
Just checked - and it’s Wikipedia so not great source but according to wiki there have been 37 milatary coups in Africa since 2010!
Fuck that for a game of skittles
- including attempts
