There’s literally no chance of this happening, it’s damage limitation.
Bring Matip & Nat on for Gomez and Bobby.
Shut up shop and get the next flight/bus/train/ferry out of Naples.
The irony is that we’ve not been that bad going forward. We’ve made chances.
But defensively it’s a fucking horror show. Joe and Virgil both having a nightmare.

Correct, it is not a surprise based on form. The degree of the humiliation is I would argue though. But we should all have seen this as a likely defeat based on our form so far this season. We are not stable enough or in form enough to play as well as one needs to win many games though.

It’s not that good.
We need to get back to basics and learn to defend as a team, we cant be skipped past in midfield by trying to always win the ball, slow them down then work in numbers to get a good defensive shape. At the moment our intensity to try and win the ball, and not, is killing us, keep shape and it the rest will follow.
Feel for Alisson. Only one who has turned up.

Arthur and Thiago are probably too similar to each other but I would be interested to see what Arthur-Fabinho-Thiago would look like in midfield. I’m guessing they would at least keep the ball every so often.
All three of them were shit. But at least Gomez tried, he was just unlucky with the bobble. Trent stood and watched as has happened numerous times the play has gone past him tonight and Virgil couldn’t have looked less interested if he’d tried.
All of them need a fucking rocket up their arses.

having said said so Gomez is very very poor .

Virgil has not been right since the start of the season. Is he struggling with something we don’t know? If so, does Klopp have the strength to drop him for a short while?

Trouble is we dont have a midfield.
Weve signed a guy on lian and he doesn’t start during in an injury crisis. If anyone knows how napoli play its him.
I wish we could be playing as well as Rangers or Chelsea.
