Milner a nightmare and Gomez and VVD both slow to make decisions. Jurgen certainly messed up with the team selection and tactics, I guess managers go through bad spells as well as players. Disappointing night so far but the real question is why we are continuing to underperform?
Selling off Mane has definitely caused us problems. Robbo looks lost without him the defence is under more pressure because they don’t have him tracking back. Luiz is a talent but doesn’t cope well when he’s muscled off the ball.
I would have been happy to let Origi and Mini go if we had kept Sadio for at least another season to bed in Nunez and the younger additions?
As for midfield? It’s been overdue for an overhaul for sometime…
Our speed in attack is gone. We can’t hold on to the ball and the talented players we still have don’t understand what they can fo about it…

The plan hasn’t worked Juergen. Maybe he will find a way for this team to shore things up and stop losing but it will just be a sticking plaster until a complete rethink on the squad is undertaken

Never want to see Milner in there again, so it’s a thumbs up from me.
On Milner, it would be negligent of Klopp to leave him on for the second half he’s on a yellow and has given away three more free kicks, he’s not far from a red.
This game might be the bitter medicine we needed to fuck off whatever they’re trying to do. Toss it and move on. It might very well be our ‘Spurs’ moment; the away game where we were 4-0 down at half time, Lovren taken off in the 30th minute or something with a system all going downhill. This remindse exactly of that day with all the tinkering and making do finally exploding on us.

It is true, total lack of desire and effort. Story of the season.
Shitshow. Don’t really know where to start. More than half a dozen of them could be pulled apart as there have been so many mistakes, and not nearly enough endeavor. We look really leggy to me. No energy, no intensity.
I don’t want any subs to come on, in a way, as the game seems gone.
But on the other hand, get some subs on, almost as a shot to nothing, to see what they can do.
Arthur for Milner.
Darwin for Bobby.
Matip for Gomez.
Try to get a bit of pride back.
For your own sanity, I’d give it a miss.

Most of the players are past their best days playing for liverpool. Can’t play at the level we have been used to
I thought the same, that he was a bit unlucky.
But safety first, Joe. Safety first.
A week ago many here and elsewhere were quite comfortable using the phrase ‘rock bottom’ for our team after the most recent set of dropped points. I wouldn’t even be confident in using it after that first half. You gotta hope though we must be somewhere near it.

Are our owners watching I wonder, I hope they feel embarrassed. We need a new midfield. Milner is way out of his debt , Fabinho like a 40 year old joging around in slow motion, elliott trying but not able to play in 3 man midfield.

Im not one normally prone to knee jerk reactions, but this sort of performance coming on the back of a bad run is one that forces you to take a step back and reconsider everything.
They can obviously see the problem.
