That’s how thirsty New York Knicks fans are for an NBA championship

Is this real? Are these real ticket prices?

Knicks home games feel more like galas for the rich and the famous to get their faces out there. The most expensive seats around courtside are known as ‘celebrity row’. Not that ticket prices aren’t out of control all across the league - they absolutely are, even in the regular season - but MSG is an outlier.

Everything Trump touches does turn to shit.

Please keep doing it, it’s kind of amusing. Turns up to the Knicks… loses

It is amazing. The Knicks are on an all time heater. They had won 13 in a row in the playoffs, including the first two of these finals in San Antonio. They then go back home only for Trump to show up, get intensely booed by the crowd and the streak ends

Apparently this guys uncursing wasn’t even strong enough for Donald’s. At this point I do wonder about the Men’s Ice Hockey it’s the only sporting event he’s been able to celebrate.

The decision making across the board at Spurs is very poor. By most of the players, you can put that down to them being kids. And yeah I know he is quite green as well, but Mitch Johnson has been the most shocking this series. His inaction when the players are under the pump across all the games really needs to be improved.

As for the Fox decision to not run down the clock, if anyone was paying attention in G3, last few seconds Spurs had an inbound where Knicks needed to foul and Fox inexplicably threw a random layoff in the air to Castle who lucky managed to control it who was then instantly fouled. Castle sinks the two ice cold FTs, but that was the warning sign on Fox’s confidence of sinking two game winning FTs. Didn’t want to be anywhere near the FT line to win the game. I think he was asked the question after G4 and he said something about laying up or throwing a 3 pointer??? Wtf. Take the foul. Try to sink the pressure FTs.

It’s a shame that this result will be a confidence destroyer because I think Spurs could still have come back from 3-1 knowing the only difference is that Knicks have broken home court once more over Spurs, but to have a come from behind like that will give Knicks even more confidence(like they needed any) while for a young team like spurs, they now won’t be confident no matter what the lead is.

Can anyone emlighten me as to the orgins of the Kevin Durant/Angel Reece spat?

Also should I find it so amusing when a guy points out how a woman is being stupid when she says actual dumb shit?

I dont think there is a spat. Durrant is a bit of a prick and has few friends in the league, but he does seem to be genuinely close with her and their back and forth is more like playful brother-sister mutual trolling than genuine aggro.

NBA’s turning upside down! Giannis to Heat, LeBron leaving LA, and now JB to Bucks!
He’s gonna have to stop calling Joel a flopper now.

I dont get at all the way Jaylen Brown seems to be treated. It seems way off for the contributions he makes. He had the double snub at the Olympic coming of the back of a Finals MVP performance and then has been floated in trade rumors pretty nuch non stop since the moment Taytum went down despite adequately carrying them in Taytum’s absence. He must be a weird guy.

He mentioned something about being dissatisfied with Celtic leadership but then said he has no problem being at Celtic long term…strange

Yeah I think the dissatisfaction comes from the trade rumours that have been around him for about a year now. It just keeps being made clear that they view him as disposable despite the weight he has been carrying for them. Its just a really weird situation.

This piece in Bleacher lays it out…he gets good Sports Center numbers but not ones the analysts who put them into context are impressed by.

And yet Brown finished Top 5 in the MVP voting and was the main reason the Celtics finished with 56 wins in the regular season when it was widely expected that they’d tank. The guy’s underlying numbers may not be that good, but the suggestion that he wasn’t the Celtics best player this season with Tatum missing, is preposterous.

Brown brought a different element to Boston’s offence; mainly he was the one player with a reliable mid-range game that matters a lot more in the Playoffs and it’s arguably why the Celtics haven’t won more titles with the Brown-Tatum duo. With this trade, it seems that the Celtics aren’t only strengthening a historical rival, but they’re going all in with Mazzulla’s philosophy of living by the 3 and dying by the 3. Unless it’s a move directed by the new ownership, which seems focused on cutting costs.

Either way, there is a reason why Celtics fans are up in arms about this trade, and it’s not because they all considered Brown a superstar. Far from it.

They’re looking to retool. Paul George isn’t going to be around past his two years. And costs. Brown was only going to cost more per season under his Celtic deal and just simply wasn’t producing value for money. He doesn’t push the needle far enough for the money he was going to be paid. Celtic fans may not all consider him a superstar but he was absolutely about to earn superstar money.
