NON Breaking News Stories

Would you call a man that? If not, why the need to say it?

And what exactly do you disagree with in anything that she said? No one’s stopping you from drinking more, or saying that pubs should charge the same price for a schooner as they should for a pint?

Sigh

Not breaking news because anyone who ever thought about it properly would have realised this was always going to happen. Not UK politics either because this won’t be something that only affects the UK.

very odd…

and

Seems sorted - odd nontheless.

‘Legend’ surfer dies after she is impaled in the heart by a swordfish

Popular Italian surfer Giuliana Manfrini was enjoying the waves off Sumatra’s west coast when the freak incident occurred… She was impaled in the heart by a leaping swordfish

Tragedy struck the surfing world as Giuliana Manfrini, a well-known figure in the sport, died at 36 following a freak accident involving a swordfish.

The Italian surfer was enjoying the waves off Sumatra’s west coast when the incident occurred earlier this month. While surfing near Pulau Masokut Island, just off western Sumatra, Manfrini was impaled in the heart by a leaping swordfish, which witnesses say thrust its bill five centimetres into her chest.

The Indonesia-based Naa Laut Mentawai Blue, a surfing charter company, paid homage to the Italian surfer on social media, stating: “With an extremely heavy heart … RIP our beautiful, friendly always smiling and happy friend Giulia Manfrini. One who had such a deep love and overflowing excitement for life!”

McDonald’s E.Coli outbreak with one dead and dozens sick as popular burger pulled

McDonald’s branches in several states in the US have been sent into chaos after an E.Coli outbreak occurred, leaving one person dead and dozens ill after consuming one of their burgers, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said

McDonald’s branches in the US have seen an outbreak of E.Coli in several states as one person has died after eating a popular burger, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report.

So far only one person has died but 49 cases have been reported with 10 people being hospitalised as a result. According to CNBC, one of the patients developed haemolytic uremic syndrome and the older adult who died was from Colorado.

Although 10 states have reported cases, most of the illnesses have been in Colorado and Nebraska after the CDC claim they ate a McDonald’s Quarter Pounder,

Speaking on their website, the CDC said: "McDonald’s Quarter Pounder hamburgers are making people sick, with most illnesses in Colorado and Nebraska. Quarter Pounder hamburgers will not be available temporarily in some states. Investigators are working to confirm which ingredient in these hamburgers is making people sick and if it went to other restaurants or stores.

Waving her hand in front of her nose, could well be because someone has disturbed the odour escaping from the resting place of her poor parents… Evil comes in many forms, but will wait to see if it was deemed a mercy killing from her -
RIP to those poor parents of hers

Police said the restaurant in Dusseldorf, western Germany, would provide the drug when customers asked for item number 40 on the menu. It is not known how much the pizzeria charged for the special order.

“That was one of the best-selling pizzas,” criminal director Michael Graf von Moltke said.

Something doesn’t make sense - no safety/emergency shut-off switch or mechanism to open from inside?

Just go to the fuse board and shut everything down - pretty fucking simple if you ask me

This is an odd article. The financial aspect is highlighted but to me it came across more as a piece that aims to fan social discontent. Basically if people who earn 60k or more are not having children, the implication being, why are the poor, and obviously all the illegals, having them.

Something to (hopefully) bring a smile to people’s faces on this most depressing of days:

In a bid to dodge a US lawsuit, Swiss chocolatier Lindt & Sprungli has scuppered its own claims about the excellence of its products — a cornerstone of its marketing strategy.

Lindt has unsuccessfully tried to end a class action lawsuit in the United States, launched in February 2023 following an article by a US consumer association questioning the presence of heavy metals in dark chocolate bars from several manufacturers, including two bars produced by Lindt.

“In its defence strategy, the company has dismantled its own promises of quality,” claimed the Swiss newspaper NZZ am Sonntag, raking over a September US court decision.

That’s all from their US factories. Not from Europe.

I’ve been saying for years that fireworks should be banned. The pollution they cause is ridiculous, and all because simpletons are impressed by flashing lights and loud explosions. It might have been awe-inspiring two thousand years ago, maybe, but now?

Fucking idiots.
