I love the Isle of Man and have fond memories of childhood holidays in Ramsey. However I can’t believe that the motorcycle races are still allowed. Imagine any other sporting event continuing year on year with guaranteed fatalities like these.
From Wiki…
The deadliest year was 2005, when 10 people died: three riders and one marshal died during the June race, and six riders and one course bystander died during the Manx Grand Prix in August/September 2005. Since 1937, the only season without a fatality in either the TT or the Manx Grand Prix was in 1982. The 2012 and 2024 TTs ended without fatalities, but there were fatalities in the Manx Grand Prix, which is raced with amateur riders.

This lad in the cornhole championship is named ESPN. God bless America

You throw a bag of beans into a hole. As far as I see, it’s darts for people who can’t be bothered with the pesky maths; athletically speaking, it’s the same idea.

German/turkish extreme athlete Arda Saatci tried to complete 600kms in 96 hours from Badwater Basin to Santa Monica Pier.
Pffft. 6km a hour - that’s walking speed!

No it’s me moaning about a feat of athletic endurance at only 6km/hr. Bet that athlete couldn’t do 96 hrs straight surfing the net. That’s real endurance and you don’t get that without the body to go with it!
Hey…my neighbour can…8am till 4pm 6 days a week…playing farm games and ordering food…from a shop 200yds away…it takes concentration and endurance to keep up…

First signing of the summer. Think he’s good enough to play on either wing.

Pretty interesting story developing. I can’t claim to understand the intricacies of these contracts, but it seems like Brière has Verbeek over a barrel - maybe he broke a “gentleman’s agreement”? - and Verbeek is the one looking like a cunt for trying to take the piss with his young players in Anaheim?
Either way, it looks like a disaster for The Ducks. I’d love to see Carlsson in Philly.
