In fact, VERY early…

He looks like he doesn’t believe that he belongs there, in a club that is brutal on players..
Always thought he made the worst decision of the three choices he had.

For the amount of money spent on him the boody of evidence was too short, and the same goes for Rayan at the moment at the price touted.
They both may prove their worth, but that worth was for me too high at the current moment in their careers.

I still look at Darwin in that first season and I can absolutely understand why we bought him. Just an absolutely perfect physical specimen as a striker - tall, strong, incredibly fast, unafraid. You watch him and you’re convinced he could be the best striker in the world…until he misses a sitter. And then another. And then another. And you realize that he lacked the one thing that matters most for a striker - finishing.
Diomande’s got all of the physical tools. His problem is that he’s playing alongside two forwards who demand the ball, have questionable work rates, and are so fucking good that they’d never consider setting up the 19 year old who was playing for a semi-pro team in Florida two years ago.
I quite like Oscar Bobb, think he had a great world cup and would be an easier acquisition than some of the dream names on here.

Love that guy, he’s just a pure footballer, a national treasure as far as I’m concerned.
I think we’ll buy someone with a bit more graft about him, more power, like Minteh who we seemed serious about. He makes sense to me now that I’ve seen a few games, how Iraola uses his wingers. But I salute your suggestion.

Yes, that’s one of the few I’ve seen and noticed. So much so I have mentioned him on here.
He’s a very good player imo.
He had a short period at shitty I think where he picked up an injury was loaned out then left. Some say a shitty reject however it seems more about circumstances to me.
I don’t think he’s the goalscorer many might like but an intelligent, technical player who helps you keep possession move the ball hence create and make things happen.

I think he´s very skilful and clever but I he may lack a yard of pace for a winger. I think if he had it he would be really really good.
Still an interesting shout though. Would bring us something a bit different.

We have all kind of scenarios before different players moving and then outcomes also.
We know since who knows when that some players cost more than their value. A football agent I know says a player is worth how much a club is willing to pay (and not only willing, but does), simple as that. No transfermarkt fugazi or whatever. It gives a broad idea of course and we should have limits how far we go.
I’m pretty sure we would’ve taken Diomande (not sure what it would’ve meant for Barcola and who would’ve ended up being our ‘other’ winger) if he was willing to join and we would’ve defended him if he did and was struggling initially.
With some limited players who are not young anymore, you can see quickly their level or their ceiling. I don’t see anything fundamentally problematic with Diomande. I’d say the chances are still much higher that he has a very fine career at a high level. These comments after 93 minutes of football at Real, mostly coming off the bench are… childish.
Of course, it was down to certain clubs how far they were willing to go (and to have Liverpool, PSG and Real… is not bad, is it?) and what he wanted in the end.

Made his CL debut as a sub vs Slavia yesterday and changed the game completely..

For a stop gap Bowen was the one, from the highlights I have seen he has started excellently in the Championship.
I do respect that he has stayed with West Ham to help them get back up

Yeah, I mentioned him a bit early on until it became apparent he was staying at West Ham. A lot would have depended on what they would have wanted in terms of a fee, though.
