Ozan Kabak (CB), Schalke

Gomez is a homegrown player, so he doesn‘t count I think

You’re right, my bad.

Hmm I think you’ll be surprised. Hendo at the back is a stop gap in options, Fabinho less so. If he has an option Hendo will play CM with a defender starting with Fabinho.

Depends on whether we’re talking PL rules or CL rules.

I think the main advice here with two new players in is: let’s bloody wait a few weeks before we judge who plays how much and how well. Some might surprise us, some might struggle. We can’t tell at the moment. There might be even more injuries, who knows.

Any word or idea on what salaries are likely to be? Obviously more pressure on the purse strings with possibly two additional players coming in. But we haven’t signed Messi so that’s ok.

It’s like how back in the day you could cheat the football manager engine by agreeing a really low fee upfront for a player while spamming the instalments option to create a favourable deal.

No matter how much he plays this season. I see him as Matips successor from summer 2022 on.

A world without Matip would be a very dull place indeed.

For the physio staff maybe!

I’m calling it now! Ozan Kabak scores a header in his first derby vs Everton. News Headline reads “Wizard of Oz conjures a goal!”

Not sure. We could really do with Fab or Hendo in midfield for that game

We’re absolute cunts :joy:

Speculation is part of the fun of being a football fan

We did a lot of nipping today :joy: :joy:

Kabak does not take up a spot on our PL squad list due to being U21. However, for the CL, he has not been at the club for “any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday” and thus must be registered on List A.
