Is that some kind of Jedi mind trick?
How do you mean?
These are not the droids you’re looking for @RedJedi
18m + adds ons if we want to in the summer, bloody hell Mike
The deadline has been missed.
This deal is a piss take by us to be fair it’s not even that much more than Ben Davies.
So there’s still time ?
For who? Deadline is 11pm tonight for transfers to the PL (deal sheet).
Let me get this straight. We’ve just added two CBs for less than £4m? Fucking hell.
Fuck , I’m confused.
The German transfer window closed 5 mins ago.
But news coming out that Mustafi and the Kabak deals have gone through and its just the final bits being sorted.
Sounds like Arsenal have ripped up Mustafi’s contract to get him off the wage bill and save six months salary, rather than ask Schalke for a small fee.
Reddy and Joyce… and James…
It’s done!
Transfer windows are one-way only. Its about new registrations of contracted players in that association. So there was no deadline for Sokratis if his contract has already been cancelled and for Kabak the relevant deadline is ours, not Germany’s.
Kabak good business. We get the help immediately, he is incentivised to land a permanent deal, whole thing in a try before you buy arrangement keeps our options open.
Oh, and for peanuts, along with Davies.
Let’s regroup and give that title an almighty push!
I think the key element of this deal is both David Wagner & Christian Heidel are friends of Klopp, both have huge amounts of personal knowledge about Kabak to add to our worldclass scouting information… I reckon Klopp knows what he’s getting.
Couldn’t be more perfect:
- If hes rubbish/bad attitude we send him back and get someone else instead.
-If he’s ok we buy as decent back up for £18m and get someone better in too. - If Klopp helps him become top drawer then we have a CB for the next decade.
Genius!

The word on the twitter street, and SSN etc was that the Schalke would only let Kabak go if they got a replacement player in. Sounds like that has happened, so they are letting Kabak go.
So there’s not so much a deadline for us to sign Kabak, but for Schalke to find a replacement, therefore meaning that by 5pm, the view was you would know if Kabak is likely.
Right so how the fuck has this happened then
A very good centre back with a promising future and we’ve gone and had him from a team who are in a relegation scrap. For £1million and the option to buy him if he is up to the grade for 18 million?
Fucking Hell… somebody explain that one to me
