Get a pic of Bangor airport! I’m starting work there in two weeks

Ask and ye shall receive! This is the real scenery and road layout around the airport, which explains why I had to order a gaming PC to use it.

Bangor is an interesting airport: while Portland is the biggest in the state in terms of passenger numbers, Bangor sees a decent number of transatlantic flights — usually cargo, charter, or military jets — for refueling, customs, and security issues. It’s the first airport in US airspace for flights coming from Europe and it has a runway that’s 11,440 ft. (~3.4 km) which is more than long enough for any aircraft, including the AN-225, the biggest jet in the world, which visited last summer. I saw a 747 come in from Luxembourg during the pandemic last year, they were coming in pretty much every day for a couple of months carrying PPE and other cargo. Must be a pretty cool place to be working.

(For context, I’m just as much of a plane geek as a football fan.)

Yep, I’ve just joined the Air National Guard so I’m working out of the area covered by the wing.

Very impressive detailing on that game!

Thank you (in advance) for your service! :us:

I love Total War Warhammer 1 and 2 (also the historical ones, but admit I like Warhammer the best), but like you say, the early and mid game is the important bit. My problem is that it is also the most fun bit, so I find myself re-starting campaigns all the time when I get to late mid-game
I have actually just finished two campaigns ! Such a shame considering how many hours I have put into the game !

Yep I’m exactly the same when it gets to snowball time ie walking armies across entire continents to finish off tiny enemies I lose interest. I have had to restart many a campaign on vhard by turn 20, but I’m ok with that, a low margin for error.

Bought Rome remastered and played maybe 10 hours and just got so bored… it takes so long to build anything and the enemy just spam entry level armies so you can win 2 stacks v 1. Glad I paid half price.

Can’t wait for warhammer 3.

Endless Space was like that for me. You get to a point where you’ve won but it’s just a chore to finish.

Another is AI situation. WH2 I had one very good legendary dinos game going but dwarves confederated and I fell victim to the order surge issue mid/late game. Just every faction attacks you. I had 60 armies show up by grimgor lands and that was end game.

4x flaw is how to stop this from happening, Stellaris suffers from it too. Demon crisis helps in wh but doesn’t fix.

Same, I have started playing only Very Hard/Very Hard myself. A good start then is really essential for a campaign without severe stress, haha !
I am not a particularly good player, but after having watching Legend of Total War a bit, I know how to cheese certain scenarios

But yeah, I will not try to play Norsca on Very Hard/Very Hard again, have tried several times, but I actually pretty much lose in the mid game (or I give up rather) due to those many invading armies from both Naggaroth and the Old World. My current campaign is Alarielle.

Epic Games is giving away 2 games this week.

“Control” looks interesting (ends 6/17/2021):

The other one is “Genshin Impact”

Great news. Both appear good games. Only criticism of Genshin I think i’ve seen was because it tried to get you to pay real money to speed progression or something…

As long as the games are non-multiplayers, then slow progress would still be OK.

Ah never fancied the Norsca, and looks like their type will be the main ones in WH3 so will wait.

I got Rome Re-Mastered, waste of cash! God its slow.

I think Warhammer has in some ways spoiled the TW franchise. Others may have the better seige dynamics etc but I see people often talk about how those titles lack something more in return.

I agree with @redfanman wholeheartedly. Going back to historical titles, which I used to love, just seems to be so underwhelming. The game play in Warhammer TW is just simply so much better. We have been spoiled, the mundane armies in Rome and 3 Kingdoms just seems so…well, boring in comparison and I am very historically interested individual. But TW Warhammer 2 has so many options, so many different play stiles; it is simply a better game I think.

As for Norsca, far from my favorite faction, but my point was merely that their campaign on Very Hard/Very Hard is almost impossible due to game AI that makes all of Naggarond invade Norsca and forget all about their ancient war with the High Elves. And then the order tide starts…Endless armies from Bretonnia and the Empire as well as the High Elves, it is just extraordinary difficult campaign to complete.
But yeah, Norsca only has aggressive melee infantry, so slightly boring.

I agree with you both, the original Rome was just brilliant for the time but massively dated now. I also loved Medival that was amazing as well. The rest were good/bad/ok but at least one playthrough worthy.

Warhammer 1 and 2 I’ve played hundreds of hours. I think it’s the magic element, that just expands what you can do exponentially.

HumbleBundle is giving away Surviving Mars Deluxe Edition. As of now, 1 day and 18 hours left to redeem. You will need a Steam account too.

Just saw the roster for the Khorne armies in TW3 and I can’t wait. I prefer using armies strong on magic and ranged weapons but this could be equally fun with its blood thirsty demons and machines!

Yeah. So I’ve stuck on to playing world of Warcraft.

Just so that the subscription which was auto renewed gets utilized fully.

The only use I’m seeing as of now is levelling up alts.

So I’ve got one hunter , one demon hunter , 2 druids , one death knight , one paladin all at level 60.

Then it’s a warrior at level 50 , another paladin at 56, a shaman at 48 , a warlock at 20 , priest at 33 , mage at 23 and a rogue at 35…

This people is what no content does… Esp at mmo… I could get down to play swtor again but the gameplay there is pathetic

And a monk at 50

And yeah the only way you get a good dungeon experience is when you’ve got to take the thankless experience of tanking or healing.
