Philippe Coutinho

Had a dream last night that he came on as a sub for us in a CL final and scored the winner.

Should I seek therapy?

Had too many injuryā€™s last season, rather not sign someone with a bad back like he does.

Would be great to go along with this, make Countinho feel wanted again, build up his hopes ā€¦ then at the medical, nah ya backs fooooked ā€¦ or am I just evil, bwahahaha

You appear extremely civil in comparison to what I might do to him during a medical!

I have no problem with him coming back if he is on half the wages he earned and the transfer fee is small. I am not bitter that he left us - we got a massive fee for him. Yes, he said some things but we shouldnā€™t forget the contribution he made also before that. The only reason I am not sure about taking back is the injury record. Not sure we will be getting back the same player that left or anything like it.

No way. I donā€™t want him to come back and for Klopp to work his magic on him and then when he has some sort of form for 6 months, there he goes with some dream club nonsense again and we sell him for 100milā€¦oh wait, that doesnā€™t sound too bad.

No, never ever I want him back. I wish him the best in his personal life but his career cab rot in the gutters for all I care.

I think the trevails of a player like Phil really exemplify where football has gone wrong in recent years. When I was a kid, if a move like this happened and it didnā€™t work out, heā€™d just move on to some other side. There would always be a Napoli, a Parma, a Sevilleā€¦a team looking to improve with enough money to offer a restart to such a player in a way that didnt feel like such a massive come down. Think Diego going to Napoli. These days the money, interest, and prospects for success are all so concentrated at the top that the only teams who could afford him dont want to spend it on a player in a bad place in their career, and the only teams willing to take a chance are seen as way too much of a climb down.

Iā€™d take a chance on him for the right price and wages. He left on a sour note but we paid two huge purchases on the back of that which took us to the level we reached. As to the back issues, Iā€™m pretty sure the Club knew the score and let it play out as such to keep even more of a frenzy developing when he was left out of the team as it became clear he was going to leave. A few players threw a hissy fit prior to coming to us, VVD amongst them, so Iā€™m not precious about the shoe being on the other foot.

In his day heā€™s brilliant and if anyone can harness that itā€™s Klopp. I doubt he will come back in any case, just my two cents on the matter.

He had a knee injury recently that he had to have surgery on. We should have learned our lesson by now with Ox. Itā€™s a big risk to go for him, even on a free, if we have to pay massive wages.

Yeah. That is also true, astronomical wages on a free for him to come here isnā€™t really what I had in mind either.

On his day he was brilliant but unfortunately that wasnā€™t all the time. As for still been brilliant Iā€™ve not seen anything from him to say he still is seems people are judging him on before not the current version.

He had an excellent season for us after he joined. He then became more and more of a primadonna which was confirmed when he did his primadonna act and went to BarƧa. His story has now ended!

If I had my wish, Iā€™d get Michael Edwards to phone up his agent and offer him a huge signing on fee and 350k a week for 5 years. Bring him over for a medical and all the usual bits.

Iā€™d get the cameras on him, put the contract in front of him and have somebody burst into the room just before he signs it screaming ā€œcancel it, he failed the medical, serious back injuryā€ā€¦ then tell the dishonourable fucker to hit the bricks.

I will never forgive his shenanigans with the phantom back injury. OK, hand in a transfer request, say you want to leaveā€¦ fine, I can respect thatā€¦ but downing tools is unforgivable.

I donā€™t want him back but for anybody who claims he wasnā€™t an awesome player for us, including his last season just donā€™t be so bitter.

He made his decision, didnā€™t work out well for him, worked out incredible for us.

But he was an awesome player for usā€¦ there is no doubting that.
