Good point considering all things
I’m happy that this draw felt like a loss. Shows where I think our standard is at.
Good point but felt we could have put more pressure on them after Timber also had to be replaced.
Absolutely a good point. That’s away from home at a title challenger, and probably the second hardest game of the year.
We were not at our best today, and a few players really had bad days. So I will take a point all day long.
I am here to vote for The Grav but voted for The Ibou
Good entertaining game , well reffed on the whole. We were nowhere near our best but still dug out a draw. Onto the next one.
Yeah, a few wrong decisions but nothing controversial
Arteta 5yrs to prepare for the game - AS…4months
Lot of mascara
Is it possible to dislike Arteta more than Pep ? Yes, it is.
Only in passing
Half full, half empty glass. Not the greatest performance, but some solid resilience and adjustments, and picking up a point at a title contender was never terrible in the days when it took 100 points to win the title. We are clearly on the downward slope of several careers, but still have enough quality to grind that kind of draw out on a day where not a lot was going our way.
Arsenal seem to think they were robbed. They are fucking wild.
I’ll take the point. I thought Tsimikas made a big difference coming on. He seems rejuvenated this season.
Arsenal are fucking dreadful to watch, aren’t they? No wonder Keir Starmer always looks so dour.
Not the greatest of games from us.
Struggled in the first half, Robertson massively.
Played much better in the second after the substitutions, we attacked them more and grew more confidence.
A deserved draw.
YNWA
In the end it’s a good point. Slot never led us vs Arsenal before, and there were question marks whether we could be up for this test, and it was away.
I thought we didn’t play our best football, Gravenberch and Macca played less dominantly than usual, and while to a degree one could argue that it was Arsenal forcing them ton to play as well, I don’t think it’s just that - Arsenal had just two outright midfielders with Odegaard not playing, and Trossard starting in his place is more like a fourth attacker. So the midfield battle was there to be won, or at least to be competitive. We were losing most duels.
So coming back twice from losing positions, and without playing our best football, and not losing away to a title rival, can be taken as a good result.
City a single point above us, and Arsenal still playing catch up (most importantly we didn’t allow them to close the gap), Villa losing points too…we are very much in this.
