Post match: Arsenal v Liverpool (EPL 27/10/24 4.30pm)

Still shouldn’t have been, because Taylor blew the whistle already. Sure, if there were no fouls at all during that entire sequence then yeah I’d feel some sympathy for them, but this particular example literally wasn’t that badly officiated.

3 fouls and a possible hand ball.

The only biased fan would be someone who thinks that is in anyway a goal.

It did not even need to go to VAR. It is controversial only in part of north London.

It couldn’t as the ball was dead…

Yeah it’s just social media fume to try and flag up some faux agenda against them to justify their team looking worse than the previous two seasons.

they already put Trent in a Madrid shirt … oh well

Not a borderline handball, clearly a handball, I got this wrong last season in regards to Macca and the shirt sleeve rule, when you read the definition,

To determine handball offences, the upper boundary of the arm is in line with the armpit.” In other words, it is only legal to use the part of the arm that cannot make the outline of a player’s body any bigger.

That was clearly on his bicep

:thinking:Confused.com…?

Basically, you cant move your shoulder as it is the joint, beyond the joint it can be moved away from the body to make the outline bigger, another reference point is below the armpit

Thanks, the fog is staring to clear… shoulder/arm, I thought they were classed differently, but maybe not :+1:

The number of times he uses ‘little bit’ and ‘little’ gets on my nerves.

This goes with the explanation

Just on injuries it’s not more than about 4 seasons ago since Gary Neville openly stated injuries were not an excuse as Liverpool were hit with a whole team out.

It’s not a new thing. Don’t forget the only reason we won the league is that Man City lost a single defender.
