Post match: Arsenal v Liverpool (EPL 8/1/25 8pm)

Where was this performance all season? The champions showed up tonight. Shame that we couldn’t get the win, but that was finally a game worthy of our ability.

Gutted for Bradley, it looked like he did his ACL. He had such a good game and for it to end in such an agonizing manner was heart-wrenching. Mere minutes before the final whistle too.

That utter cunt Martinelli can go fuck himself. I’d have decked him and taken the red card gladly

Yeah pace is such an asset, also I don’t recollect him getting beat when 1 v 1 when covering Connor in the full back position.

Just proves that they are cheating cunts. Martinelli thought Conor was pulling one of their own tricks and we simply don’t do that. Especially not the British players

It was obvious with the way he went down that he was in trouble and injured, non of that rolling round shit.

Yeah but what the fuck is Slot doing defending him??

Because they thought they saw a reflection of their own selves.

That’s exactly what they’d try to do.

Ibou would have knocked his jaw clean off his dickheaded skull

Now that was a performance to be proud of. Our goal threat was pretty much non-existent due to the absenses but we controlled that game 2nd half and they looked fucking terrified to come out of their half until the last 5 minutes.
Yet again we were denied a clear penalty. When you think of the soft as shite pens given against us at City, Brentford and Leeds when there was minimal contact why wasn’t that a penalty tonight? I think we all know why.
I’ve had shit on here for wishing injury on a number of players over the past few years but it’s always reserved for absolute cunts and Martinelli falls into that bracket. Unfortunately our players are incapable of standing up for themselves, just like at West Ham Alisson comes out of his goal to act as peace-maker when we should just allow the cunts to disgrace themselves and get sent off.
We’ve ticked off a hard away and kept our place in the top 4, hopefully Ekiteke will be back for the next one and we can consolidate it.

We defended really well in the first half and were unlucky not to take the lead with Bradley’s chip. We built on that in the second half and took the game to them, even with most of our key attackers missing. It was impressive, and it showed that we do of course have quality, even if we have struggled a lot this season for various reasons.

Martinelli was bang out of order. It would have been justified had one of our lads chinned him. Apart from Stevie G’s amazing talent, that sort of situation makes me wish we had someone with his sort of edge in the side now.

…and Brooks on VAR. Even a bigger shitbag, imo.

The most widely scattered votes we’ve had in the motm poll so far?

Poor the Gakpo

Way it should be. Everybody played well, bar Cody.

Great progress! We didn’t get pumped! Bradley is unfortunately too injury prone…He reminds me of a slightly more robust Daniel Sturridge…

Saving himself from a retrospective red…pleading with Conor…try to plead innocence…like shit you didn’t mean to do it…

First half I was worried, but we weathered the storm and came out fighting for the second half. Kerkez gets my overall MoTM because he was so improved. Dare I say this could even be a turning point for the team and a real confidence boost. They have been so lacking in belief recently.

I’m not buying that for a second. He is being rightly torn to shreds over all the socials and HYS on BBC. He’s just saving his skin. He of all people should recognise when a fellow pro is genuinely hurt.

He’s a knob.

Both teams took a similar amount of time with throws and free kicks. It was a game where no team was trying to run the clock down.

If a team was going down at every touch (Arses in the first half when trying to win free kicks for their set pieces), or feigning injury, or keeper holding the ball then throwing himself on the ground a la Martinez, then maybe you could throw in the benefit of the doubt.

Here was an intentional throw of the ball on Conner (yellow), then trying to push him off by using his lower leg (he failed), and then outright stupidity on trying to push him off the pitch.

Now it’s just PR so there is no retrospective ban.
