Ha that’s too far! I thought Moss was awful. Not towards either team, just fat and incompetent, and lost control of the game. Am sure Stevie’s referring to his playing experience with Moss as ref also when he says he’s he’ll be glad to see the back of him
Watch until the end
Let’s be honest, Moss was shite last night and mostly in our favour. Their goal shouldn’t have stood but lots of other decisions went our way. How many fouls did Fabinho get away with without being booked, 4?
As for Gerrard being pleased that Moss is retiring, has he not seen the state of the rest of them? Moss is fat and physically incapable but he’s still a better referee than Tierney or Kavanaugh, who are both piss weak and have terrible judgement.
Moss on VAR isn’t bad
Cos he’s not hunched over trying to catch his breath?
They only ref 1 or 2 games a week. In an elite league where their decisions could cost millions. No excuse for not being physically fit
You forget how painful it is when it hasn’t happened to you for ages. Took one for the team on Sunday (OK should have caught it) was almost throwing up for 10 mins.
There was a foul Keita did on their player, which he gave to us because Moss was facing the wrong way. Pretty sure Trent threw Coutinho to the floor and then we got the foul when Coutinho clattered Jones after, again Moss was looking the wrong way.
He’s a dire ref, but as you say for both sides. Never seen someone make an XL footie jersey look like he’s wearing a spare one from a child.
He’s mostly just guessing, and ends up in a one for you, one for them pattern. We got free kicks lasts night when we’d committed the foul. And do did Villa.
He is a shit ref, but shit for both teams.
100% at one point he gave them a foul about a minute after the event based on the crowd.
It’s getting close to being unbearable , largely down to one poster with an almighty gob.
Also last night I couldn’t understand the grief Curtis was getting. I thought he had a solid sixty minutes , moved the ball quickly , had a couple of decent efforts and generally didn’t do much wrong. I’ve been a critic of his in the past but last night I thought he was ok.
Was a physical Game by both teams. Many fouls. Zero yellow cards.
As if Moss wanted to proof a point.
Sometimes a ref has to show a yellow card to calm things down or as a warning.
Imagine if we would be sitting here with a player from one of the teams having suffered a long term injury on matchday 36.
I don’t know how anyone has the time or inclination to comment here during a match. I’m too busy shouting at the tv and punching the sofa.
In fairness to moss Maguire is even slower to turn and he’s much younger
I’ve found that whenever I post “we’re not playing well” in the in-game thread we go on to score a goal.
I apologise for not doing so in the Spurs match. That ones on me lads.
Tough win. Unfortunately Gerrard will always feel his team up against us as he’s looking to get the manager’s job at some point
He got flak for that performance?
Clueless. It was a solid game for him. Competed well in duels, good pace on his passes, won free kicks in a good area. Could have done better with his two shots would be my only criticism.
Couldn’t agree more. I thought the shit he was getting last night - and every time he plays - was baffling.
You could argue that he holds onto the ball a bit, and could be a bit more adventurous with his passing, but he’s doing fine. If he was playing for anyone other than us or city, and maybe Chelsea, he’d the jewel in their midfield.
Correct most 50/50 decisions went our way, I was thinking out loud, that’s a foul but he let play go on.
Next year we are without Moss, Dean and Atkinson, I hope the younger crop is better and less biased.
He wasn’t holding on too long last night though, he moved it on well.
It was Fabinho who was having a shocker. Him going off probably helped us on the night, he was terrible.
