POST MATCH: Atalanta Bergamo v Liverpool (UCL 3/11/20 8pm)

First time since Klopp is manager that I can remeber us looking more compact than the opposition. Klopp out!

Good little read and pretty much sums up the way we are playing atm and how much the youth coming through are intergrating into our first team and pushing us on again for the future.I must admit, the " our front 3, stretching Atalanta open like the mozzarella on a pizza" quote was spot on and made me laugh a little.

A draw may be enough if other results go our way.
But a win guarantees us.

p.s. Who said Jones was poor and kept giving it away with silly flicks?

Away from Home in Europe at 19… He is a proper player.

It was me and I still think he struggled in the first 25 minutes :stuck_out_tongue:

He didn’t. He got caught in possession once. Gini got caught in possession in the same way twice.

Jones created the first chance of the game for Jota with some good play after 1 minute. He wasn’t struggling at all.

He struggled for 25 minutes, got booked, tried some tricks and flicks and then he had a great game

I find it a bit charming that Diego Jota has 99% of the vote. Pretty rare I have seen that.

Anyway, game was something I remember with great fondness and will not forget for quite some time. That’s all I am going to say about the game really.

We can all say silly things, my posting history is littered with similar… He did try 1 flick which didn’t come off… but I also saw Mane and Salah do exactly the same.

I disagree he struggle, I just think he kept it very simple the first 20mins, he certainly grew better and better. He does struggle having the collosal mackem next to him.

An absolute WORLDY of a performance by Jota! It’s still early days but Jota’s hat trick gives him 7 goals in 10 games played for LFC.

Diego Jota looks like the STEAL of the transfer window so far!

Timo WHO?

We might have bought Jota to be cover for the front 3 but he is absolutely proving that he is 1st string starter quality for us. And Jota’s performances so far demands that Klopp continues to start him in the League as well.

Oh yes the rest of the lads played very well. The defence secured the clean sheet and Alisson stopped a few threatening chances by Zappa. If we can carry on like this, LFC might just weather the storm until big Virgil returns to fitness. I still feel like we need to reinforce at CB in January but I’m a lot more confident of our chances until the next window opens.

He was the worst aspect plus he looked like a young Bolosarno.

Also he needs to lay off the hair dye

Genuinely excited about Rhys Williams.
I think we have got an amazing player in him and with klopp around, he will nurture him to be a world class CB.
Jota and alcantara are game changers for us. We now have that ability to unlock any defence.
Just hope that our worst injuries are behind us now.
Bring on city!
