Was catching up on the match reports in the guardian, and their take on the penalty is wild. Still insisting that their was little contact and Gakpo tripped himself, even after the replays showed Cook kicking Gakpoā€™s leg into his other leg.

Not sure how anyone would describe him as awful. There were a few poor moments, but overall held one of the best left sided wide players in the PL from scoring. Albeit with help

I saw that. Much amusement in their comments section about it. I mean, I thought Cook was unlucky with it. He clearly didnā€™t intend it. But itā€™s a clear cut penalty.

Maybe they are too used to anything up to attempted murder against a Liverpool player in the box being perfectly acceptable.

Our midfield was so nuked by then that a sausage would have done better.
Even Nunez did a better job of defending than our midfield and most if our dƩfense when he came on. He even managed that and lead the line on occasion. :rofl:
