Just seen the two fouls. Iād say the first is unlucky and the second is zero chance of being a booking.
They gave us a good game but ultimately itās a professional win.
I am aware. My point is that City will be 3 points behind Arsenal if they beat them. Given their change in form, and their tendency for better run-ins than Arsenal, if they beat them Iām counting on City to finish higher than Arsenal, this becoming our main rival. And while our gap from them would be slightly higher than what it is to Arsenal, Iām less comfortable with City chasing us than Arsenal chasing us.
And reiterating my previous statement: I think that if thereās a draw between Arsenal and City today and if we manage to beat Everton, our game in hand (which rarely happens at Goodison in the past few years, so itās a big challenge), I think weāll go on and win the league.
I think it was @Arminius whoās been talking a lot about the runway left.
Our closest challengers at the moment are Arsenal, who prior to todayās game have a maximum of 92 points, assuming they win all 15 games left, which is unprecedented. For us to get to 93, we need 1.61 points per game remaining.
Thatās a form that over a 38 game season will see 61 points, or basically JĆ¼rgenās first season with us.
The worst stretch of form from us I can find in JĆ¼rgenās tenure was 2020-21, where a 12 game stretch saw us pick up just 14 points. That was 6 losses in 7 games, with a win in between, 3 after that, and 2 draws to end that streak.
Even presuming the worst of 6 losses in 7 games, weād still only be 9 points behind if Arsenal somehow manages to win all those games at the same time. Considering theyāre averaging just over 2 points per game so far this season (47 from 23), theyād pick up 14 points during this time, which would put us just 2 points behind them. And thatās just from an extreme scenario which probably means weāve lost more than half the squad in a short time.
Essentially, weāre now at a stage where I honestly couldnāt care less what the other teams do (except where I would otherwise always prefer that City, United, Chelsea and Newcastle lose every single game), because weāre our own problem here. As long as we keep picking up the points, doing what we need to do, the league is as good as ours. We donāt need to go on some incredible run, we just need to finish the season in the same form weāre in right now. That alone puts us on 93 points.
Sure, I wouldnāt be breaking the champagne out just yet, but Iād definitely be eyeing the prices.
No he really was not.
Thought Iād just pop in and say āhiā as you said you loved me.
Trent was being caught 2 v 1 as Salah almost exclusively was playing forward.
And those two players were Kerkez and Semenyo. Thatās not the easiest guys to handle.
Trent had an average match. Which can be understood. All players have those average games.
Point is at the end itās a 2-0 win against a tough opposition.
Thereās no way the other teams are crossing 85 points.
Iām out of Aus atm and ended up watching on FullMatchReplays from a US feed. That British female commentator (sorry I donāt know the name) was just absurd with her reporting of how Bournemouth had dominated with chances, even though at that stage they had a shot off the woodwork (ie. A shot off-target) and us with at least two good shots on target plus the goal.
I donāt actually think all these commentators hate Liverpool. Just that they think being a commentator barracking for the underdog is what neutrals want to hear. And less face it: right now against every opponent in the league - whether City, Arse, Chelsea or Bournemouth - they will always be seen as the underdog against us given our squad quality.
I very much thought that the match clips chosen on MOTD were most of the good Bournemouth goal mouth actions. All the mistakes made by Liverpool players were highlighted to try and show that we were lucky to win this game.
I thought that Bournemouth were the best team we have met this far this season and in Iraiola they have a very good match for Arne slot. I hope they get into Europe.
Aside from the end bit.
If you really think Bradley wasnāt better you know fuck all about football
Yeah you can be both unlucky and it be a penalty and this was the case.
Anyhow with highlights I usually watch the Sky ones and the club ones and sometimes the variation is intriguing. Also try and watch the extended ones if weāve won later in the week.

We are on 56 pts.
We have 15 Premier league games to go.
If we average 2 points per game from this point on, we finish on 86 points.
I donāt understand the 1.61 point thing to get us to 93 points? If we only get 1.61 points per game from this point forward we will finish on 80 points, and Arsenal would have a fair chance of passing us.
We have a good lead and we are rightly the strong favorites. But thereās still a long way to go, and it could all change quickly. Arsenal are hanging around and their big win against Man City will keep them hopeful.

To be honest neither do I now that youāve pointed it out. I literally cannot replicate it with any number of typos I could have made.
Point still stands regardless, on current pace we are uncatchable.
you know fuck all about football
Took you a while to figure that one out Sandy lad.
My best guess is 86 points will be enough to win it. I suspect that after todayās win Arsenal will hang around for longer than we were hoping. I agree though, that so long as we keep doing our job, we should be fine.
