Whilst it was a lucky goal with the long throw/scramble it was no coincidence or surprise. In fact they deserved to score after having other chances.
Ironically Wirtz could have jagged an undeserved winner but for a great save that of course was given a goal kick.
No breaks when you are shite and lacking purpose.
Top 4 would be a miracle.

It was absolute crap, but Rodgers starting tinkering endlessly. That was in turn infuriating, but what are seeing right now is a manager who is playing Paper-Scissors-Rock with the idea that if you do Paper right, it always wins. We see almost the same game week after week.

Yes, that is where I agree most, his constant comments about low blocks and set pieces, puts negative thoughts in players minds.

We were seeing the same with Rodgers at the end. Let’s face it this just more Hodgson and Rodgers again.

Don’t think I can recall a team that was worse at both defending and attacking inside the penalty box. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Slot deserves the sack but the players… There aren’t enough swear words in the English language that would accurately convey the level of distress they’ve caused yet again. Their capacity to gift away goals and points is unmatched. How many times have they conceded with the last kick this season? How many times have they let a goal in from a fucking throw in?
Absolute disgrace.

We need a couple of CBs as well someone who is going to put a lot more energy into the players we currently have. Our players should be beating these teams every time those teams play like Bournemouth did today. It doesn’t feel that way now.

Can someone tell Wirtz to occasionally smash it first time instead of going for the intricate pass.
Positives… Until the goals we were quite dominant like against Marseille. But I’m scraping the barrel.
Seems to be a lethargy and insistence on slowing it down every bleeding time, what for? To give their team time to line up their defence and pack their midfield? Dont get it.

It’s not just this season.
The first time we saw it was arguably the first time we were under real pressure - in the League Cup final against Newcastle last season.
I remember thinking that it was like a kid playing Football Manager the way we just threw all our attacking players on.
This season just happens to have us needing a goal more often and Slot still falls back on the same ideology - even if it means we have no shape as a team.

It’s not just Rio that’s his pattern with every player he doesn’t rate. He’ll play them only when he’s got no other option or when he’s heavily rotating for some lower division opponent in the cups.

That’s our problem all season. We can dominate opponents for most of the games but they need just a few moments to punish us.

I’m trying to think of a silver lining for this shitshow. Well we scored from set pieces. The free kick was particularly well thought out. So there is some improvement.
Unfortunately, the defense was all over the place.
We seem to fix one thing and two others go wrong. It’s like trying to stuff an octopus into a net bag.

Give it to the set piece coach until the end of the season. He fixed all that shite in a week maybe he has some other ideas about the game too.

Not sure VD should be our leader. Sobz seems to have greater heart. VD seems to spend too much time on the blame game. For me it started last season.
