I can’t see Slot carrying on through this. But let me be absolutely clear if binning off every single one of these players and getting another twenty in was even remotely viable as an option I would be seriously considering it before booting Slot.
Unfortunately as a manager/head coach you are always the obvious change. But some of these players have seriously let him down, today and elsewhere in the season. Virgil, Ibou, Ali, Mac Allister, Gakpo, Salah - these lads should be feeling very guilty if Slot carries the can.
I’ll watch our future games…but I’ll not have any expectations of score, players, how we play or our set up…but just a note…looked at the PL table…we’re still 4th…hanging on by the nails…
I saw the 2nd half of this while on the bike trainer. It was so bad my max. watts has gone up by 100.
Bar the obvious shortage at the back, our midfield is crap, even with Dom in there. Our shape has huge holes in it, and there’s not a single player putting their foot on the ball and commanding the game from that position in the middle.
Yet people bame the recruitment of the new players, when it is the old guard that are the issue form wise.
However, Arne just can’t manage a SQUAD of players and doesn’t seem to have a system, in the way we play to rotate players to give them a rest, just seems crisis management from him.
