Post match: Brentford v Liverpool (EPL 17/2/24 12.30pm)

Got his mates on there :joy:

I agree he was instrumental in winning the ball back for our 2nd goal but that gets in the way of what people want to see

Just seen the manhandling of Jota in the box (which they didnā€™t show on MOTD). Fuck me, just when you think youā€™ve seen it all. Iā€™m not sure Iā€™ve ever seen a more obvious penalty.

They did show the Toney/ Robertson collision though and Iā€™ll say this without any doubt whatsoever, they give that all day long if the score is 0-0. That is what we are up against, Iā€™ve no fucking doubt whatsoever, the game is gone so they throw us a bone to make themselves look impartial. Absolute fucking cheating cunts.

About 5 mins after the Jota one Reguilon threw himself to the ground with minimal hand contact from Bradley and got a freekick.

I also thought the one on Diaz was a penalty, but on the other hand I thought Robbo on Toney was one also

Thank goodness for this win as Brentford are a tricky team.
I anlm worried for the 3 injuries we got.
Praying we donā€™t get anymore.
Letā€™s hope the boys keep the momentum until the end of the last game of the season.

Thinking yesterday 4 would be nice, was right pleased to wake up to that, pity about conceding but WTF!
Havenā€™t seen anything of the game yet, but didnā€™t expect Brentford to roll over so it must have been a good day at the office.Just keep it coming lads,Cheaty dropping points was a bonus.

dont stressā€¦these things tend to even themselves out over a seasonā€¦

remember when Trent caught the ball in the penalty area vs City to stop them scoring a nailed on goal and virtually hand us the title?

My promising stand up career is in tatters.

Donā€™t panic. Even the best of us have times were our best material doesnā€™t hit the spot.

Some crowds just donā€™t get comedy

Fixed it for you

They do bring joy, donā€™t they?

I used to think Michael Oliver was one of the better refs, which given the state of the others is probably still the case, but I thought he let them get away with far too much thuggery today.
Must be something about playing in red and white stripes. A modern version of Stoke City.

I often look post game to get the perspective from opponents fansā€¦Brentford fans are in agreement that the League is fixed.

ā€œThe Premier League want F*****g Liverpool to win the title, they donā€™t want Citeh winning it again because they canā€™t get Citeh on FFPā€¦
Klopp is leaving so they want him to go out on a highā€¦ So all the iffy decisions are going in their favour you can see it week in, week outā€.

I would love every forum to choose one poster and put them all in the big brother house. Can you imagine the scenes. It would be carnage. I know who I would nominate from TAN.. It would make for great TV.

They would however all be in total agreement on one thing. The refs are useless/bent and hate their club.

I donā€™t think there were any really bad tackles in the game, both our injuries were unlucky and not the result of a leg breaking tackle.

The main things that were missed was the rugby tackle on Jota in the area and the one on Diaz again in their area, but Diaz semi dive may have influenced the ref not to give anything
