Post match: Brentford v Liverpool (EPL 2/1/23 5.30pm)

Is this recorded fact or mere conjecture?

If it’s the former, please provide the evidence. Thanks.

Agree, we were shite, no doubt about it but if Salah was in that situation did the same and scored Attwell would have blown his wishes to give a foul against him as quick you can blink your eyes.

Until the end of februari we only play once a week bring in at least one proper midfielder and find a solution herr Klopp!

Klopp is allowed to have a transitional season. See if we can salvage something, go all out in the Champions League, and plan for the summer and next season.

ok fine, he refused then (taking ur word for it), but he aint refusing now… Noise coming out is we done signing after Cody

The club need to make this time available to them count, it’s a game a week for the next three weeks more if we play like that against Wolves. A cup run is also a chance to give us something to cheer.

They have weeks available to train together and I do feel we need some enforcement.

Even a title run is not the same. Last season’s winners dropped 21 points.

So it seems we need to fuck Klopp off and/or sign any two midfielders further down our list(as Brendan liked to do).

It’s great to be a Liverpool fan

Couldn’t care less.

One of my (many) pet hates.

What midfielders was he offered? With sources please.

The only attacker in our team looking like he could score today.

VAR looked at it found nothing wrong with it.

Forget about talking reason to kneejerkers, the best you can do is let them have their little tantrums.

I really think Klopp needs to be careful with Elliott right now. Things are about to stench a bit and him making the occasional mistake, and particularly costly ones like tonight are going to result in fan pressure that a young player like him doesn’t need at this point in his career. There are ways we can manage our games with the players at our disposal where we aren’t just throwing in an out-of-form Elliott as just another midfield body to make up the numbers.

That was the pisser. Repeatedly, the ball was allowed to travel so far across our box without anyone attempting to clear it. In the first, Fab’s attempted header was pathetic, like he was concerned the ball would mess up his hair. It was so easy for him to clear that even Ben Mee was taken by surprise that it hit him.

You can talk about the dysfunction of the midfield all you like, but if you refuse to defend balls into your box you cannot win.

How are we still doing this after this long? The ref doesnt ask VAR anything. The ref will give a running communication to his entire team about what he’s seeing (e.g. “looks shoulder to shoulder to me”) and the VAR checks the replays to see if they showed something objectively different. When it does they chat about it about then typically the ref will take a second look. The ref was in the right position given how the play developed and made a call the majority of the people here seem to think was the right one.

He could care less, but he simply can’t be arsed about it.

He may not have been offered any but you can’t get past his own words where he says we didn’t need any.

Ah man they’re replaying the 2nd goal again.

That dummy from Elliott was pretty special.

Brain dead.

Klopp saying the same as I said about the foul on Konate and in regards to a push when in full sprint another football man. Although both pundits talk about a littel push a little nudge, ffs thats all it needs

Sure you can.

As an aside, I’d make Robbo vice-captain. He stepped up and tried to rally when we looked rattled today. Also a marked improvement on Tsimikas.
