That was then , this is now. He’s out of his depth and it shows.

He fucking swung a foot at it and was just as surprised as everyone else that it ended up in the back of the net.

Not sure it does, we’re just asking him to play in a style that negates his strengths.

It’d also help Kerkez if Gakpo helped him defend or passed him the ball. Slot’s already called him out on it but nothing changed last night.

Gakpo’s defending is a joke this season. He just stands around pointing.

It’s his cutting inside and swinging an aimless looping ball into the box, every fucking time, that’s doing my head in

The same Robbo who came on and contributed nothing?

The same Robbo who needed a breather after “sprinting” back 50 yards and then fell asleep as Estevao scored the winner?

The same Robbo who came on at Bournemouth and looked a shambles.

The same Robbo who many declared last season was a weak link and needed replacing?

Starting Robbo ahead of Kerkez would do nothing for us, we, specifically Arne, needs to figure out the system because it’s broken from top to bottom.

Isak the best CF in the league
Wirtz the best young 10 in the world
Frimpong a mainstay in an unbeaten Leverkusen side
Mama the best keeper at the euros
Kerkez named in the PFA TOTS

But we should be led to believe all our new signings are worthless stains right? Make it make sense.

Ask Virgil who he’d rather have alongside him.

He’d probably give the loyal response, one of his closer friends in the squad and someone he’s shared the pitch with for 250+ games and say Robbo or he might give a more honest response and say neither at this moment in time.

But I’m not sure what has to do with Robbo’s shortcomings the last 18 months.

Totally agree…he won it with Klopp’s team my ass.

And if that doesn’t tell you how to handle stats, nothing will…

What I am saying is in terms of output, Kerkez is not as bad as what some is saying…

There’s that as well, he doesn’t see anything else.

Everyone looks a shambles in a disfunctioning team. I feel that Robbie does better at communicating and getting Gakpo to do something different.
As for Kerkez he looks to be in a bad place at the moment, lacking confidence and the such. His body movement and position when he needs to be authoritive is really poor as well. Whether it’s worth persisting with him like Slot is doing under such circumstances is questionable however it’s Slot’s call.

We splashed the cash in all areas going forward but when we failed to sign Guehi I knew the writing was on the wall and we would struggle at the back. In January we have to address that by buying Guehi and if possible get Upamecano who is available on a free in the summer. Konate’s head has been turned and from now on he should use Gomez and pray he stays healthy until the next transfer window. We also have to use Robbo at left back until then as well.
As soon as the ball is lobbed in our box it is panic stations and blaming Virgil is wrong he cannot plug all those holes all by himself no matter how good he is.

My thoughts are VVD shouldn’t be captain. He has enough to do organising the defence.
However much of the time it’s been his partner who has been running around plugging holes VVD has left. Yet it’s VVD who’s on cover.
The major thing for me is there’s a lack of leadership within the team. Noone setting responsibility. It’s imo for VVD to sort this out. I hope he can do it!

Eddie Gibbs sounds exhausted from answering same old…

My replies last night were full of people telling me to sack the manager. After watching Liverpool fold again, I understand the fury. This side collapsed under a basic game plan, bullied by long throws, second balls and a team that simply wanted it more. That is a disgrace for a club with our resources.

Slot is not helping himself. He has talked about long balls and deep blocks as if they are some sort of new and unfair invention. Everyone in the league can see Liverpool are soft in the air, weak on second phases and mentally brittle when asked to defend. If you spend all week preparing for set pieces and still fall apart the moment a throw comes in, you have not coached it well enough.

The in-game decisions are even harder to swallow. Confused formations, square pegs everywhere, and a habit of making changes that weaken the team rather than lift it. Playing the one midfielder with real drive away from the centre of the pitch? That is not adapting, that is panicking.

Accountability has to land at the manager’s feet. This is a squad that cost a fortune, yet looks less organised than sides built on scraps. Effort is patchy, confidence is shot, and the identity has vanished. Questioning Slot is not only fair, it is necessary.

But sacking him now solves nothing. He created this mess, so he should be the one forced to fix it. Give him the time to show whether he has the courage and clarity to put this right, or whether the job is too big for him. Only then will we know if he deserves to stay and finish what he’s started.

That I agree with. He’s young, huge potential, and I hope he will be great, long-term.
That said, I don’t see a need to compare him with Wirtz to point that out.

Arne looks clueless and lost on the sidelines. He’s really getting found out now. Won the title with Klopps squad spent a couple of hundred million and can’t organise a defence or midfield or forwards.
