This is an astonishing graphic and Slot has responded like he thinks this is the result of a loophole in the law that was taken advantage of one time and expects the authorities to close it for him, rather than realizing this is what teams are now going to do to us until we show them it is no longer productive for them.
I must be a wizard, to never watch a match yet can seem to recall every bit of detail. All you ever do is bemoan referees. That’s your 1 speciality on here.
Being concerned with the level of performances is somehow a “joke of the year”, yeah ok pal, have a day off.
Agreed. But there is contact, despite what the Manc videos offer. If Gakpo stays on his feet is it a pen?
He was never getting it.
If the referee gives that, it doesn’t get overturned.
You are acting like Gakpo flung himself down under no pressure in a blatant attempt to win a pen
The Brentford lad stepped across him, totally missed the ball, left his leg in Gakpo’s path, and to me it looked like he caught Gakpo’s leg. If you don’t think he wasn’t touched well, fine. You are entitled to your opinion.
But I think it’s really ridiculous to put it into the category of a blatant dive. If he doesn’t touch Gakpo, it’s more much luck than judgement.
The way some of you are going on about it, it’s as if you think team should only be entitled to penalties if they are playing well.
Not really.
But I don’t bury my head in the sand and Manc Troll videos to pretend everything is fair.
It doesn’t matter which account it was posted by - what do you not seem to get, we’re not discussing the manc troll, we’re discussing the footage and the diving incident, the unedited, verified footage of what happened in real time. Could’ve been posted by you, me, Mascot, Howard Webb, Jurgen Klopp, it has no relevance in relation to the topic of debate.
To me, it looked like he stood on his toe. It’s the wrong angle to determine that, though. Unless it’s the footage VAR used, you can’t say for sure. It’s a bit like those stills that some fans post that merely show that a camera was working.
thats the sort of shit we would slate non LFC players for doing…
And our 2 goals came from a cross from the right by a RIGHT footed player, I said it in another post I am so over this cutting inside where all their players are, we looked more dangerous when our full backs overlaps to out crosses in.
Oh and guess what? when that happens regularly spaces will then open up inside.
2nd half I saw several occasions where he had 3 players in his area and Gakpo nowhere to be seen, how we miss that side of Diaz’s game
Re watch the Chelsea game when Robbo came on watch the difference in how many times they attacked down that side when Estevao was against Robbo and how many more penetrations they had into our box from that side compare that to when Kerkez was there.
With regards to Virg, he is a senior CB and our captain, he shoukd be talking to Kerkez all the time and from what I see it is the channel between Kerkez and Virg that is the problem, which is Virg’s space.
lol
I am not sure this graphic is what Arne had in mind when he told the lads to ‘shoot for the stars this season!’
One thing about Gomez he also helps Virg with talking and organising where Ibou just doesn’t seem to say anything.
We do need another organiser at the back.
I’m great at long throws, too…
But Peaches has a clinical finishing.
And AN_Legend has the fastest finishing. Earliest hat trick too.
PS: Please don’t Photoshop either of the above…
There are definitely a number of posters on here who argue that every decision against us is wrong.
If we’re seriously arguing Gakpo deserves a penalty for that there’s little poing discussing any other decision. It’s an embarrassing dive and if it happened against us there’s absolutely zero chance those same posters would accept it’s a penalty.
Ok, I am making the ultimate sacrifice in order to change the fortunes of our beloved club. This week I shall be flying down to Sydney and will remain there until we start winning again.
It’ll be tough, but I’m prepared to do my part for Liverpool.
I don’t think so. I think I’m quite objective where decisions are concerned but I also know when we’re being fucked over. I think we all know who the bad eggs are amongst the refereeing fraternity and Kavanagh is one of them and that’s why we’re not getting the penalty Brentford got in a million years.
If you pay attention over a number of years it becomes quite clear how these blokes operate. Taylor ‘misses’ things in our favour, Kavanagh fucks us on VAR, Atwell allows terrible challenges on our players to go unpunished, the likes of Oliver, Coote and Tierney are less subtle and their bias/corruption is in plain sight.
There are a number of refs who imo are quite neutral, the problem is we don’t get them much.
I wasn’t aiming that at you. I agree that referees aren’t unbiased or uncorruptible. Michael Oliver used to be a top referee before taking blood money from City. David Coote is obviously an absolute disgrace and is capable of much worse than throwing a football game.
But Gakpo cheated yesterday. Some of the same posters who are claiming a penalty criticised Kane (rightly so) for years for doing the same thing.
It’s boy who cried wolf stuff. Point out the actual mistakes, not argue against every decision that goes against us.
