Post match: Brentford v Liverpool (EPL 25/9/21 5.30pm)

Mo is a fantastic player but the amount of chances he misses is unbelievable, I always think a Robbie Fowler would be scoring double what he does with same chances.

Think Curtis and Henderson had good moments today. But, still think if Thiago or Keita play, we win that game. Not because they are better, but both recently have played more of a support role to Fab this season, and let the other midfielder get forward more, providing more defensive stability.

Our substitutes were made with next Tuesday’s game in mind…
Brentford’s were made with a ‘fuck it’ lets have a go here

Once I heard the commentators said that Brentford has changed their shape after their sub, I was fucking worried when Klopp is not doing anything to shore up the midfield.

I think if we had Gini today we would have won.

If we had Fowler we would have won by 10

we really really miss that type of player, especially in klopps system

I don’t recall seeing any game management. We just continued to play like a group of 12yr olds in the school yard. You score nine and we’ll score ten.

Gerrard and Carra for me lol

Statistically Trent’s attacking output this season has been great. He had a poor game today and was a bit below par against Chelsea, otherwise I think he’s been playing really well. He’s not even close to being considered as droppable, which is a stark contrast to the lad on the other side who genuinely is struggling this season.

I think Tsimi is playing well

Trent was left too much to do on his own. Judging his defensive performance based on this match alone will be unfair to him IMO.

so what would u do Herb? put your klopp hat on and make the big call… what would u do? sit robbo? milly played well when TAA was out. maybe sit both robbo and TAA??what would u do?

Well, Jones went off at the 67th Minute for Firmino. Their final scorer came up at the 78th Minute and scored at the 82nd Minute.

We had literally 15 minutes to bring on Milly to see off the game. 15 minutes to a very professional player like Milly is nothing to him…

Brentford are not a good team. Anything but three points is not good enough. Cannot underline how bad a performance that was despite that we should have won.

We need to win the league. Don’t think margins will be too big this season.

Sorry lads holding my hand up here. I usually avoid watching us live (unless at the stadium). I draw bad luck every time. First live game this season, Harvey gets his ankle broken. Second game, we go 2-1 down (turned the telly off after that). Today. Watched until halftime…joined when we were 3-2 up and continued to watch…we know the result. Going off the live games from now on.

Bad day for defence and holding mid. Also we let in uncontested crosses. If we learn our lesson it will hold us in good stead.

Totally agree he was outnumbered on both crosses and fair play to Brentford in regards to that, for me we had to stop the cross in the first place!!!

Kostas is the man in form and I think he deserves to have the shirt for the games against Porto and City. I suspect Klopp will go with Robertson on the weekend though.

I get it we were bad, but we have had worse games than this and have came out with 3 points many times. Hence, some credit has to be given to Brentford. I don’t think they were this poor as been made out. They took their chances and caused enough havoc in our defense.
