Post match: Brentford v Liverpool (EPL 25/9/21 5.30pm)

The management team not bringing in an additional body in the midfield will be the dearth for all of us! It is unfair for kids under 21 years old to be shouldering the title charge for us…Fuck me, Jones did his job today, but his manager let him down…

Imagine if we lose out on the league by two points. I’ll definitely think back to this game.

to be honest i jus dont think they were any good… jus caught us on a bad day and even then, were lucky to hold on for a draw

We created nothing in the Chelsea game after they were down to ten men. Could very well be that game as well?

As soon as Salah skied the chance, it should have been the signal for Klopp to abandon his push for another goal at all costs approach.

Good to have some competition in that position. Robertson is great and is full of energy, but his crosses are fast and furious with infrequent end product. Tsimikas can land his crosses on an egg and defends pretty well to boot. Interesting to this how this one develops over the season.

Jurgen is the best manager out there… Would rather we finish 3-3 than start parking the bus

Chelsea are in their element defending. A man down, they targetted the shut up shop approach. They won’t concede many.

Personally I would accept that if they would have scored a fluke goal or something and came out with a point. That was not the case though. It’s not the first time we haven’t been clinical in front of goal.

Rubbish. Brentford are a decent team and gave us a good game. They should survive their first season in the premiership, and they should beat Utd.

Trent had 3 on him for the second goal. Possibly the 3rd too, I can’t remember. Collectively we were off it today. Good d to get it out of our system before next Sunday’s match.

Brentford committed players to attack and got their reward. Fair play to them.

Great atmosphere which fed their lads. We made it hard for ourselves more than anything they did imo.
Though that free kick routine was great.

Whether Brentford are considered any good is insignificant if they possess the ‘up and at em’ attitude they showed today… That attitude is hard to handle

Absolutely but we didn’t work hard enough to get back.

The difference is, against Chelsea I would’ve settled for a point at half time, because they were the better team on the day. Today, we’ve thrown two points away, through shambolic defending and a lack of leadership on and off the pitch.

On the positive side, we are clear at the top of the league.

Apart from that, you have to say a draw is not good enough. We were too frantic and Brentford did themselves proud. Tony in particular is a real handful and if he keeps this up he will get a bigger club.

Even though we weren’t at our best we still should have win, and there was a sense in the second half especially, that we lacked that killer instinct and were too wasteful.

Onwards and upwards. Got an easy one next weekend!

Match their effort and quality will shine through.

Here’s a thought.
Matip is too cultured a centre half for these type of teams
Sometimes you just need an old fashioned stopper.
If Nat Phillips had been picked today we would have won 3-1
