Well flips last week where we were cheated out of a point.

Yeah I’ve got no argument with that.
Doesn’t alter the fact we’re a very average football team.
Just watched the game after a day rambling round the peaks.
Not that impressed with the performance. There just isn’t much going on up front regarding attacking combinations or movement, and I really don’t see where it’s going to come from. I’m very concerned about Wirtz. Assist aside, I thought he was very poor again.
Bluntly, I don’t think we won that if it stays 11v11. Not a fucking chance.
I’m one positive from the Szoboszlai injury is that we should see much more of Nyoni.

I still think we are developing as a side.
I’ll judge it at the end of the season. If we hadn’t got hold of that game today then I would think the same as you.
Also losing two players through injury in a game I can understand why a team would sit back. Defensively we are miles better than we were for the last 18 months. It’s the next step to see how that can be built on whilst developing attack.
No point going what if, as we don’t know how we would have gone second half and how they would have approached it. There is a team top of the league that have three what ifs on top of the fact they are a cheat.
I do think we are far harsher on our club than we would be on others. Villa were supposed to be amazing throughout tonight but their second half was ropey and apparently they have rebuilt the team but that only moved them up to 8pts level with the Newcastle side they beat.
Maybe I’m deluded but I think there are a few positives the defence looks better. Barcola is settling Nunez looks the part (Don’t hear much from that AI poster who seemed to suggest he was a weak streak of piss). Jacquet again was decent.
Also Maçãllister is actually looking like the midfielder who I remember and not whatever that was under Slot and it wasn’t just last season.

Jeez, it sounds so final when you say it.
I think the direction is what’s important at this point.
And in this past week, we won twice in a row, and were all over City until the ref ruined the game, could have really been 3 in a row.
We are a work in progress, and I like the signs I’m seeing. I think anyone that expected something else than that, is sentenced to disappointment.
Why not enjoy the wins and goals and performances (when we have them), and take it step by step. I think we’ll be good, just not instantaneously.

Aside from two the league is largely average and below average teams.
If we’re average whilst short of Bradley, Leoni, Gakpo, Ekitike and a half fit Szoboslai and Frimpong, plus only being ten games into a new managers reign then I think we’ll be okay this season.
We were never going to be in a title race but if we can get top four, go a decent way in the CL and a half decent run in one of the cups then I’d see that as a positive season after the last one.

You should never be ridiculed for not wanting to be conned. The rolling around on the floor and playing dead is terrible. As a supporter one is put into worry mode about a player health for no reason.
Jacquet was pushed in the back in our own box and my initial thought was that he’d tried to buy a free kick and we were going to concede… fortunately he had been fouled.
Macallister, Munoz , Kerkez all do it and it is infuriating. It is giving up possession cheaply in a lot of cases and it will cost us , just as it costs other teams.
We were down 1 goal and I managed to reach my hotel in time to watch the 2nd half and we managed to turn it around. I am not saying it’s me but there isn’t any evidence that it’s not me either.
