Post Match: Brighton v Liverpool (EPL 28/11/20 12.30pm)

What a faffing Joke ! No way could that be a pen and if Mo had cut his toe nails his goal must have stood. VAR is certainly against us this season just the same as last. Not at our best but we deserved to win that.
Neco struggled a bit again. Not convinced he will ever make it as a EPL player.
Phillips did well again would probably be a good 4th choice but lacks a bit of pace and class for the starting spot.Fab did o.k. considering CB is not his best position. Robbo looked a little tired but is without date a quality defender
Taki had what I though was possibly his best game. Prefer him in MF personally.
Gini steady
Millie finally succumbed to the number of games he has played. Another first teamer out !
Mo looked to be getting bak to his best.
Jota, another goal, what more can you ask.
Bobby , IMO, did ok, but no more than that. The least effective of our strikers even making allowances for the fact he is supposedly creating a lot for others.
Sadio looked lively.

We really do need some players to return to from injury.

So you have 2 ex players saying it is and one saying it isn’t. Even they can’t agree. At every level of the game below this one that would not be a penalty and no-one would even give it a second look but years of moaning about decisions have brought this nightmare about…be careful what you wish for.

Being able to get an outcome out of a computer system does not mean the outcome is correct.
There are enough points of measurement error in the system as a whole to preclude being able to make calls that are this close.

My aggravations today are less about the decisions the officials made, but the environment that has been created by being so uncritical in the use of the tech that makes those decisions be ones that people accept are going to be given.

Var just doing its job.

What was its job though.

Fvckkkkkkkkkkkk! We were robbed!

Dropped points because of more BS call of a penalty. Two pens called against our boys, and 2 goals called back with the first one very suspect of a call. Football has completely lost the big picture with shite VAR calls after calls.

I am more angry with today’s lost point when compared with the loss on Wednesday. On top of it, we lost Milly. Sigh. I need to walk this off to calm myself down. I cannot imagine how furious the Boss is (yes, watching it now, he is pissed with the baiting of Jurgen’s headlines).

We were struggling with the high line in defence in this match and not compact enough. Too many gaps between the 2 centre halves, and so much room between Neco and Nathan. Other than the first pen missed, we were fortunate that BHA weren’t more clinical with their attacks on our right side.

With the introduction of Hendo, while moving Milly to Neco’s position, it stabilized the back…but Milly spent more time chasing and defending from speedy wingers. That 34 years old body said enough is enough. The commentary mentioned that Curtis actually did not trained with the team, but had to be forced to be called upon today, which sounded concerning.

Well, I just realised that we can only pick one player as MotM…It will be Robbo.

Here were my 3 original picks:

  1. Robbo: Even got called against with the garbage penalty call, Robbo was immense. There was a moment that could end up as an own goal…Perfect defending when he hit the ball over the bar with his knee/calf.
  2. Gini: Sat deep to provided necessary coverage when our defence was pulled apart in the 1st half, and was able to move up with Hendo came on, but still come back to assist in the defending when necessary
  3. Mo: He may have been subbed off, but I thought he was threatening against the BHA defence. Mo appeared to suspect that his goal would be called back with his “meh” hand gesture. Unfortunately, it was VAR’ed. He was angry to be subbed off…You better expect that he will be all fired up in his next match.

Huge shout out to Milly, Hendo, with Diogo and his nice goal. Hope Milly’s injury is not too bad.

…Don’t need to walk it off…I am calmer now.

No one cares if we lose by doing that. No one will say anything or do anything. It’ll only be our loss.

The worst thing about early Saturday kickoff from my perspective and us not getting 3 points is it spoiling my whole weekend. So I say fck off scheduling.

Lijnders for the post match interview for a while. Klopp is box office, so deny them. Also, he is getting wound up, understandably, so he is going to blow up or end up being ridiculed. Either way, protect him a bit and send Lijnders out there.

The broadcaster who profits from the viewing figures will care soon enough…
The premier league and VAR agenda… It is getting harder to pick up 3points anyway… so why not just hand them over… was my point

I miss the good old days where we just had bent referees on the pitch, far too many job opportunities for these useless bastards.

I’ve seen Salah get kicked loads of times and Salah actually had possession of the ball yet he never gets a penalty given. So what are the rules?

Didn’t he get a similar one v’s West Ham this season?

Yeah but in fairness, his most famous goal came of his shin so possibly not the greatest radar.

The rules are simple: prevent Liverpool from winning whenever possible.

Who was that post match BT reporter, interviewing Klopp? What a t#@t that guy was. No intention of asking Klopp about the game, but had a BT agenda about trying to shift scheduling blame away from the broadcaster. Do your f*&k#@g job, and stop trying insert yourself into the story.

Yes, I am a bit frustrated with the way things panned out in the game.

I strugled, sitting and not writting anything after the Atalanta game. Just not to look bitter…and by the way, we have a game in hand…
Thought…it will clearly be a win against Brighton…
From the moment VAR was ushered, I knew it will piss on efforts of men, and some rare moments of positives will be praised…And this is just a beginning…it will get worse, before it gets better!
As I look at it…it is unseen to treat a team with such reputation, reach, the way LFC is treated by the FA, Uterly contemptuous! It’s them not this petty cocksuckers on the pitch and ind the room
I advocated a run away league, bicause of the bias against LFC…The first moment a door opens, we should get the fuck away from this cunts!
All the best guys!

Burnley doing their yearly folding at City already.

No idea but he should have had at least 50 so far this season if the rules were applied fairly. I don’t think 1 makes up for all the others.
