These last three have been better, in fact this to me seemed to have draw written on it til we thought of giving Fabinho a cameo.
Yeah it’s not the dizzy heights we are accustomed to but we are a low ebb, sadly the World Cup came at the wrong time as we had started to gain some form before that.
I was posting as a “hopefully we have bottomed out” and so things are getting (as evidenced by the game) better. It’s sort of like we’re going through stages of mourning(?); loss of form, denial thereof, acknowledging there is an issue, acceptance and now (hopefully) pro-activeness towards a solution.
I’m sure it wont be plane sailing but hopefully more better days than not going forward.
Yeah, I am watching games now to see some progress. Even if we miss out on any kind of European football if we finish the season a bit more like we hope we can play then we can hopefully take that into the season after.
I do feel that run in to the CL led to our run the following season. But we have address those major issues. Still hopeful we can cobble enough together for Thursday night football but I guess we will see. Each injury especially to our better players does feel like a blow.
That is a very short-term outlook though. A better training complex allows for better training in the longer term, and especially bringing the youngsters and the senior players together will reap rewards. In fact, it has already begun, with for instance Bajcetic breaking into the first team, and several other youngsters not far behind.
As for the 60k seater, I’ve no idea how you can’t see the positive to this. Again, not in the short term, but longer term, it will bring more revenues, and thus a better ability to compete.
