For anyone in doubt, we won 2-0.

We also had two goals disallowed and hit the bar, all while the Burnley keeper was having a man of the match performance. Burnley didn’t manage a shot on target.

This wasn’t a struggle. This was comfortable but made difficult by suspect officiating.

Again.

A much-needed 3 points and some big positives too:

  1. We got through the game without any obvious injuries, a relief after the last couple of games
  2. Endo is starting to be a big part of our gameplan and looks really dependable - with the exception of that bad pass near the end that nearly cost us
  3. Really, really happy to see Jota and Diaz back. Our overall quality definitely goes up with them back, especially with Mo going away soon
  4. We were able to give Konate and Szobo a rest without costing us. With Mac back soon things are looking pretty good
  5. Quansah is starting to look like a mini VvD. Looking really reliable near the back and inspires confidence. Bodes well for our future!

Now we need Arsenal and Man City to drop some points. YNWA!

This could’ve been a very tricky game for us but bar a 10min spell in the 2nd half we dominated from start to finish.

Lots of brilliant performances again, Endo Gomez Nunez Quansah probably the pick for me. Dutch boys first half in particular were brilliant.

Oh and fuck off Tierney and VAR.

My goodness NBC’s coverage is terrible. We are being criticised now for not “knowing the best team”. Everyone’s fucking injured you dickheads.

This time of year it’s all about 3 points and no injuries. It was a bit of a stroll. Which helps.

A deserved win, although a bit more difficult than expected, despite of Nunez’ early beautiful goal, due to our lads not being clinical enough during the first half, and then losing their hold on the game after Elliot’s disallowed goal. The 15 minutes after that were a bit difficult, before we started creating chances again, and Jota put the game to bed.

Top of the table, well done lads! :+1:

As the old saying goes a game of two halves. Should have had the game sewn up after thirty minutes. Really a bit of a shit show in their box first half that put our defence under pointless pressure in the second. Good job done by the back five to get the clean sheet but we definitely need to sharpen up our finishing.

Weird game to give a man of the match award for as the game was comfortable for the most part without us really getting into top gear.

Gave it to Quansah just for how assured he is - Elliott for his bravery on the ball and Gomez just for the sake of it.

We won 4-0, in my head.

Won the game playing at walking pace, never got out of 2nd gear. 3 points and I’m happy all those wasted chances didn’t cost us.

if klopp wants to complaining about the officiating, now is a good time especially after winning

After two draws, this was a much neeed win. Nice ealry strike by Darwin, which was needed as Trafford was impressive in Burnley’s goal.

Tierney and co trying their very best to do us in. But apart from a ten min spell later in the second half, Burnley didn’t offer much.

The Harvey disallowed goal would’ve been given for most teams. Tierney let Burnley keep their foot in the challenges inthe first half, so to call a foul for hardly a touch is impressive.

THe Burnley player had his head in his hands, as he knew he messed up rather than been fouled.

EDIT: Meant the Gakpo goal rather than Harvey

We do need to get more clinical. It cost us against Untd and Arse. Made today hard.

Second half was largely the same as the first. After the second disallowed goal there was an understandable 10 min period where they felt it was written in the stars for them but we got back in control again and ultimately got the second (fourth) goal

Tough victory against 12 men.

Tierney is a thunder cunt.
