We are (hopefully incoming) a very good defensive midfielder short, and it was the first game of the season, so it is not fully whirring away yet. And Chelsea are a good side, with a good manager, and they have spent a fortune, surely illegally.

All things considered, a decent point.

Last time we played Chelsea away I fell down the stairs at my mum’s house and broke three ribs, so this game was an improvement for me personally.

Otherwise pretty uninspiring.

If its a rule for every player…the GK’s are included…but pls make it a rule for every player, not just those in red.

We need a midfield.
Konaté MOTM for me closely followed by Ali. The rest I wish to forget about!
We have changed our tactics but it looks just as bad as last season, we leave too much space to the opposition midfield!
Two pretty ‘poor’ teams imo.

How can a hand pushing the ball away from the goal not be a penalty?

I like the fact that players are going to be getting cards for asking for cards. I hope they are consistent with that.

Fortunately I’m not a member of LFC’s staff and so do not come under the EPL’s jurisdiction. So I was able to give vent loudly and abusively to that decision by Taylor. :+1:

Unfortunately I do come under Mrs CDO’s jurisdiction and she told me of and said she’s gonna stop me watching footy at home. :frowning:

To be fair, players or indeed managers falling to their knees and beating the turf in a public display of petulism probably wants to be discouraged as well. IMO, of course … :grin:

Based on what Jackson and Mac got yellows for, it would be against the laws of the physical universe for Chompers to not be sent off in every game he plays.

He remonstrates more than that on average every 90secs.
