That bench looks really thin.
There are gaps all over the place. They will improve if they are to get these signings over the line but their keeper situation is baffling.
And we know how much Alisson can get you over a season.

That was a terrible game
We gave the ball away too easy, too often. Stray passes, poor clearances, bad pass selection. Second half was shockingly bad.
I like Gakpo but not as a CM, he doesnât know how to read whatâs coming at him. Really dislike Jota starting matches up front as he doesnât lead the press well.
Our left midfield sucked eggs today. Steamrolled.

We were on top for 35 minutes and after that it was Chelsea throughout almost. We did get some chances here and there like their GK kick to Macalister where with a better pass from him or better control from Nunez, there was an open shot for him. But overall good point to take but concerning gaps in the tactics.

Thought Mac Allister and Dom did really well all things considered. Gakpo should not be anywhere near our midfield again. Nunez first touch horrible as usualâŚ
disappointed with how we played as we are capable of much better. We let them dominate the play after VAR ruled Salah offside. Salah, then became more or less invisible as he wasnât getting any service. TAA with some lazy passes didnât help. Looks like refs standard still have not improved. Am I asking for toooooooo much?, or am I to be surprised with the idiots trying to do something that they are incapable of doing?
This was such a typical Liverpool-Chelsea game. Dominating the start, scoring but then not able to apply the finishing blow before they equalise. And I as a supporter fall into the same trap I always do watching it - thinking âdonât worry about the offside, lets just score again and get that 2 goal buffer. Stay positive!â Yet it always ends with Chelsea evening the scores. Another moment where we didnât defend well.
That first half hour was a thing of beauty. Some of the touches of Szobo had me oohing and aahing, and the team looked really fluid with and without the ball. But we need to make that performance last over a full 90. We need to not allow a goal to sap our performance and what we are trying to achieve. 30 mins of great football is not good enough.
I will say that I was impressed with our pressing across the entire game. We didnât quite have that third line of press (from the defence) when Chelsea (who are obviously quite skilled with the ball at their feet) got through our forwards and midfielders, but I thought there was some really positive signs with how the forwards and mids communicated their counter-pressing actions. A good start. Not perfect, but a big improvement on huge parts of last season.
Does anyone know at what minute the controversial handball happened? I missed it. That fucking foul Taylor paid when the Chelsea player tried to back into Szobo, Szobo moved away from the contact, Chelsea player fell on his arse and Taylor - instead of making one of his biased shit calls there and then - waited until we took possession to call it - this cunt is openly laughing at us.

Overall, its ok to draw away to Chelsea.
But some mistakes made. Cody isnât a midfielder.
Loath as I am to say it but we do need a proper controller in MF.
His touch is frequently poor but think youâre being a big harsh on his occasion

I noticed this a fair few times, disallowed goal or missed penalty or something and our heads just drop and we go off the boil.
First 10 mins second half was the same and then the hand ball and it was like we went fuck it.
Bournemouth will be totally different to Chelsea but youâve got to consider Jones starts. Maybe Thiago If fit

Defensively we were better than I expected but for me Robbo is the weak link.

Reminded me of the game last season against Real Madrid but obviously a different score. First half an hour were full of energy and pressured every one of their players. After that we seemed to have a complete lack of energy right across the team. We were standing off all of their players giving them so much time they looked like world beaters. I just donât understand why we run thirty yards towards the opposing player and then just stop two or three yards from a player giving them time and space to pick a pass out. They also mentioned on TV about our high line which has caused us to concede a lot of goals during Klopps time with the club. Early days yet but not the performance I was hoping to see.
Itâs pretty clearly the line from his shoulder and in the end not even that close. Itâs a shame because he didnt need to go quite that early, but heâs also very clearly offside
