Yes, but it’s the only one. And we can’t know whether it could have been prevented. Some people are acting as if we could do better this summer, just because not everything is going the expected way immediately.

Would have liked to have Estevao as the Diaz replacement. Man that kid scored a cracker and he cost Chelsea only 29m?
Because we’re not playing through him. We’ve brought him in to be the play maker but keep trying to force it through the wings. Oddly enough when we have gone centrally Wirtz has looked a lively and created chances (most in the league so far). Harks back to my point earlier in the thread that Slot needs to adjust to the players he has now rather than try and make play like the ones he had last season.

Teams would be lucky to create 5 big chances so that’s probably more down to the finishing.

The good:
- Isak had an assist.
- Kerkez had a decent game
- Gakpo at least had good spells in the game.
The bad:
- Bradley. He was too rash and just didn’t have the pace required to underlap or overlap. Is clearly back-up at this point. Why he keeps starting is a fucking mystery.
- The midfield. Macca don’t look physically right at all. Gravenberch looks stretched trying to cover for the entire right flank. Szobo’s the only one that came out with any credit.
- Salah. Shafted out with wide for no fucking reason at the start. Only got slightly better once there is an overlapping runner. Seems to have a mental block as well.
- The subs after Wirtz are nothing short of puzzling. Kerkez for Robbo is one. Kerkez didn’t fuck up defensively to be hooked and kept their RW winger decently quiet. Robbo came in and fucked up at the last moment by losing a duel to a kid, turning 1 point to 0. That points to a waste of a sub that can be brought on to change the game. Just look at this picture…
The physical decline in Robbo is so so evident.
Konate for Jones is a bit iffy as well as the subsequent decision was to bring our best ball carrier 10 yard behind.
The Endo sub was baffling as well. We are 1-1 and the next sub slot do was to put Endo in a game where he has to chase people and bring the ball forward at the same time?the only fucker that has this ability is Szobo and he is stuck at RB because Slot wasted a sub on Robbo.

Wirtz has definitely not found his groove yet. Slot needs to scheme a way to make better use of him. Hopefully after the break we see some form of 231 that takes advantage of Wirtz in a central position. Yes I know his heat maps show him drifting left but I think he would play more comfortable in that #10 pocket.

I thought so too. Also, had our players finished 20% of his 21 (+ today’s) chances he would have had 4+ assists already.

Its massively unbalanced the squad Gakpo completed only 5 90 minutes in the league last year.
You talk of Salah has gone from playing with Trent to Bradley/Frimpong…but neglect to mention that Salah has played with Trent /Bradley…Salah has played well with Bradley who last season played well when required and Salah played well.
The fact that Salah has been fairly crap this season has little to do with Bradley imo

I think the problem is if I could see some attempt to try and change how we play and we were going down to losses that would be fine this just seems to try and put a sticking plaster down.
At least Georgi looked ok must think he is back at Valencia mind this last week.

At least we came out in the second half, not that it mattered.
Nothing vs their 5th,6th choice cb option, and not that much better vs their 7th,8th cb option.
The euphoria from the first 5 games has all but vanished in the past 3 games, and lets face it the 5 we won were extremely unconvincing.
11 games in and we playing like a side that has never played together, but hey a few on here don’t think 11 games and a full preseason is enough for the team to start clicking.
We have essentially a fully fit squad, and are not taking advantage of our good fortune of being healthy.
Can anyone play right wing? Can we keep more than 1 clean sheet this season?

I knew the kneejerk lads would be out in force. We lost in the last minute away at a supposed title rival.
But, we need to worry about:
Right back - Our best RB is Szoboslai. Bradley is giving me Flanagan vibes, and what on earth is going on with Frimpong?
CB - Konate has fallen off a cliff. Real Madrid? You’re having a laugh.
LW - Gakpo scored, but was otherwise completely toothless. The club put a lot of faith in him when they sold Diaz, and he’s not repaying it.
RW - Mo has to learn to pass and Arne has to learn to sub him when he’s not firing.

But in the defence of Robbo…he seemed to be the only one who decided to go down the wing…onto the byline…he took the ball and decided to attack them…didn’t see many others doing that..
