Post match: Crystal Palace v Liverpool (EPL 25/25/23 7.45pm)

That will never be forgotten!

Trent is a defensive liability and the fact that klopp cant see it is unbelievable ( an honest piece of advice for Trent go cut your hair and maybe you would improve) .Matip I cant say anything other than its tome to move on .
midfield as usual running with no creativity although Elliot did offer some limited creativity .
robbo is million miles away from his form .
the referees the inconsistencies are F incredible 2 weeks ago a keeper follow through arsenal get a penalty today not even VAR review , this season is the worst refereeing i have seen since VAR started

Well, that was a special type of rubbish for which I canā€™t blame Klopp,he has only got what he has, and at the moment looks like plenty donā€™t give a shit.Seems like the midfield is having 2023 off.Couple can have a lot more off,Keita ,for starters, seems heā€™s only had a handful of decent games outside the treatment room.
Sure Klopp has a fair idea of what has to be done and FSG need to pony up and back him all the way.

No oneā€™s saying that here though are they unless youā€™ve seen something none of us have?, so itā€™s pointless bringing it up like thereā€™s some sort of conversation to be had about itā€¦everyoneā€™s on the same side of the argument.

No oneā€™s in doubt Klopp is the spearhead to spur this team on again but that canā€™t begin until the guys above him accept the adverse position we find ourselves in and actually do something about it.

I wouldnā€™t give up on 4th place just yet. Two wins back with a game in hand is not Mount Everest, a decent run of consistency would be enough - not that different from what Klopp managed in his last year at Dortmund after a nightmare start. But that consistency is precisely what this team has not been able to manage this season. Wednesday against Wolves is an absolutely massive game

Look at the difference. Even Salah has that extra spring in his step

Yep judge peopleā€™s comments 5 minutes after FT when emotions are high ffs

Thatā€™s why you should take a deep breath and calm down as I posted.

Too many players in this squad who are happy to collect a paycheck, unchallenged for the position.

Our apathy in the center of the park is unforgivable. The center backs try to pick a forward ball in the middle of the pitch, and itā€™s a ghost town. Theyā€™re hiding from the passing lanes, and when they do get an angle, they return the ball right back to Matip/Van Dijk to play the ball around the perimeter.

I shouldnā€™t be surprised by what I was seeing tonight, going off that lineup. What weā€™re seeing, is the guys who have been here 4-5 seasons feeding Salah the ball, all watching him and Trent do this half-assed job of cycling the ball around and losing it, thereā€™s no support from the middle of the pitch at all. Nearly non-existent. Every free ball fell at the Palace feet, very few recoveries. Meanwhile, when Palace did get a chance on the ball, they ran it through our midfield like a knife through butter.

Legs are gone, and I really do want to be a fly on the wall at a training session to see what the mood is like in Kirkby. Because what I am seeing on the pitch right now is dire. The lads are not enjoying their football. A lot of negative gestures and looks both amongst and between some of the players. Trent looks properly fucked off to be playing at all, Mo needs a break once in a while, Jurgen. Heā€™s tired.

Mediocrity is seeping into our club, sadlyā€¦from top to bottom.

Almost 3/4th of the season will be gone in a few games and cannot see any signs on how this will change.

I love our boss to bitsā€¦and I am sure everyone here too, but he is not making his life easier. Any other top club, this sort of decline would have shown him the door.
He needs to deal better with the hand he has got. Get Doak in next game please and play only players who give their heart and soul on the pitch(I am okay with kids) to end season in a positive form, to build for next season. If not, atleast change something in tactics, surprise your opponents ffs.
We have to end the season with something positive , so we can build on to it next season. Otherwise, I canā€™t see us going from this drab form to title challengers or top 4 contenders next season even with like of Bellingham aka pipe dream.

Players like Fabio canā€™t get into this team to add any creativity. Our only way of playing is hoof the ball to the forwards and expect they do something or give to Hendo for attempting a Hollywood pass to give it to opposition player.
I hope I never see the duo of Hendo and Millie again in midfield.

The worst part of last night was there was no urgency shown to win the game. Even, boss was putting on Bajetic for Gakpo accepting to save a point. In the kind of top 4 race we are , should have taken off a defender and put an extra body uptop to nick it.

This quote from Milner destroyed any hope of sleeping I hadā€¦ mediocrity at itā€™s best. :frowning:

Milner: ā€œWeā€™ve come here and you saw the desire, grit and determination. I donā€™t think it (Real Madrid) affected it.ā€

Sorry mr morally high, Iā€™ll do better

Good. I hope so.

I really donā€™t think there is any case not to play Doak on Wednesday.

It was more the performance than the result. I just donā€™t see how a team that puts in regular performances of that standard can have any realistic chance of finishing in the top four. Everyone thinks weā€™re a soft touch now , and weā€™re going to be scraping away for points in every match from now until the end of the season , unless a complete metamorphosis somehow happens.

Kids would be the vast majority of the first eleven too. There are three maybe four seniors playing close to their standard this season? Alisson, Konate when fit, Nunez, Gapko perhaps. Diaz when he finally returns. Thatā€™s it. A goalkeeper, a defender and three forwards, every other position would have to be filled by the likes of 18 year old Bajcetic, 19 year old Elliott and a host of U-21s. Which wouldnā€™t necessarily be a bad thing except for the fact that the U-21s havenā€™t won since October and are a tad inexperienced to begin with.

Still, Iā€™d take that team over the current zombie-like collection who neither can nor want to play football.

Wait what? Our U21s havenā€™t won since October? I thought they won their last match 7-1 a couple of days ago?

You are right, I mixed up the U18s with the U21s.

That being said, it is also concerning too. Our U21sā€™ form is not that impressive as well. 3rd in PL2 but unable to pull the gap away from the 4th, 5th, 6th places.

Brilliant
Another part of the club for people to moan about.
