Shout out to @Quicksand for that amazing run given the pressure (more than our players surely).

Today he was awesome. Battling, skillful, sometimes just doing the basic clearing out and being in the right position at the right time. We will miss him.

Liverpool’s injuries in the Premier League this season:

• Van Dijk [33 games missed]
• Gomez [31]
• Matip [28]
• Keita [28]
• Jota [19]
• Henderson [17]
• Thiago [14]
• Fabinho [8]
And we finished 3rd.

Never under-estimate what this club has achieved in finishing top 4.

It’s a truly magnificent achievement. 9 months of absolute shite being hurled at us from all directions and yet these blokes have battled through it all and delivered something tangible at the death.

Big fuck off’s to Pickford and Richarlison. Enjoy 10th you fucking meffs. Fuck off Coote, Marriner, Friend and a few more who did their best to shaft us during the season. Take those 7-10 points that were stolen off us and we’re comfortably 2nd.

Enormous credit to the likes of Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams who have stepped in and got us over the line, their future’s might lie elsewhere but they’ll be remembered for years for what they’ve contributed this last few months.

Up the mighty fucking CL qualifying Reds!!

Jaffod, you’re lovely :relaxed: , you took the words out of my mouth. I believe in Karma always comes back to those who’s actions have have been bad or good. Everton were aiming for Top 4, 10th is quite high for their level.

Good end of the season, finishing with a win and 3rd place!!!
Strange match where some seemed to be trying too hard others like Salah completely off form (probably chasing silly wankers trophies and not doing what comes naturally). At least Mané showed the way and our CBs where excellent at taking knocks and carrying on as if nothing had happened.
Gini was as useless as ever, just got to amaze at 70 yard passes back to the goalie when you started 5 meters from the opposition box (should have looked for Thiago who was waving like a lost child anyway at least that will end!).
Robbo and Trent definitely in he trying too hard bracket.
Thiago quite wonderful, just couldn’t stop him picking up second balls (what ever those are).
Chuffed lovely time out in an over crowded park, saw the game in clear, 1/2 time fag and coffee outside just to come in in time to blow my birthday candles out (fucking hate those candles you can’t blow out) I blew a quarter of the cake on the floor and my daughter bless her soul dropped all that was left on the floor.Anyway spent the second half stuffing ourselves and teaching my grandson about football and LFC (Amazing expression of astonishment from the little lad everytime Gini got the ball).

Oh yes, it is my birthday today!!!

So glad Sadio was important in the last match.

Now rest well this summer and come back strong.

I was nervous, my chest was tight throughout the 1st half. My watch showed me that my stress level was higher than normal.

With our missed chances early in the match, and a TAA misplaced pass between our 2 CB, led to a massive chance by Palace, and Foxes led Spurs, my fear was amplified.

I dared not to cheer for Sadio’s first goal, and was mighty relieved that the goal counted. Again I was nervous again when Rhys Williams had to leave for some stitches, and we were down to 10 men for a short period of time.

First half whistle blown, I was able to get up and walk around a little bit to work off my nervous energy. It was only then I was able to breathe properly for the rest of the match. Knowing the results coming in for Villa vs Chelsea and Foxes vs Spurs, I was able to relax just a tad bit more. I celebrated Sadio’s 2nd deflect goal without hesitation, with the certainty that it was on-side. I was able to shout out in joy, alerting my dad that we got to 3rd place with less than 15 minutes to go.

The absolute gorgeous header by Ali only 7 days ago stood out even more now that we got to next season’s UCL. A goal that gave the season true meaning.

I can now properly relax for a few months (unless I want to go through the usual emotional roller coaster of Maple Leafs hockey play-offs).

I have not done any 3 picks for a very long time, but I think I should close out with the following picks:

  1. Gini: He did want he had to do, controlled the centre of the pitch. It was amazing to see the ball just stuck to his feet.
  2. Sadio: 2 goals, and not rolling on the ground as much today. Happy that he’s the hero today.
  3. Thiago: Together with Gini, controlled the midfield well. Pinged the ball beautifully not only to relieve some pressure, but created attacking chances.

YNWA.

The thing is Maria Everton are the club karma over-looked. After the derby I was convinced they’d get what they deserved but it never happened. They continued to enjoy insane good luck all season - no major injuries, no bad VAR calls - nothing went against them at all. They always seemed to be playing teams at the right time when they had their best players injured, and yet they still finished 10th!!
I actually wouldn’t have minded them getting into Europe because any bad luck next season allied with the extra games and they’d have been fucked, like relegation fucked. As it is they’ll continue to spawn enough points to float around the middle waters of the PL like the massive turd they are.

Karma for Everton would’ve been relegation and their proposed stadium plans collapsing.
