Post Match: Everton v Liverpool (EPL 12/2/25 7.30pm)

That’s not on Slot. That’s on the players for letting the game slip in the dying embers of the match. The players have to take responsibility.

As the dust settles, one thing is clear to me. I’d rather support a team for whom a draw feels like a defeat than one for whom it is the season’s highlight.

Hear hear.

This one definitely does NOT feel better the morning after, but I am laughing inside at their carry on.

Is picking the ball out of the back of the net twice really that much trouble?

You’re a runty cunt and I hope someone breaks into your house and shits on your spreadable butter.

That is what this pic is saying to me.

Not sure who is paying but plenty of refs seem to be bought.
But then,nothing new!

I’m sorry but if you can’t understand the basics laws of the game then there’s no point in having a discussion.

We know the basics it appears you dont. Where did the extra extra time come from.

Don’t make the break too long. You know as they say don’t let the stunts get you down.

“on the worse end of that” rather undersells it, don’t you think?

That’s such a cop-out. It’s leaning on the whole “but all fans think the referees are biased against them” trope.

I missed the Núñez incident live because of buffering, so when I saw him on the ground, I was wondering if he’d dived or something. No. It was such egregious pulling him to the ground I thought I must have imagined it.

I don’t know if he’s offered nothing up there, but I wonder if there’s an element of protecting Núñez by easing him in to help him get consistent performances, and protecting Jota by easing him in slowly so he doesn’t get injured yet again.

I’d go apoplectic if it was one of our players making a daft foul on a defender, yes. Done so many times before. Doesn’t mean I’d be angry that the decision was made correctly.

I must disagree with your entire post, but particularly with this. The refereeing display is not independent of how we play. It directly affects it, it directly affects everything. We’d have to adjust tiny details in positioning, how we approach certain challenges, etc. Not to mention mentally. It puts you off your game and is an extra challenge you shouldn’t have to face.

Arne doesn’t usually react this strongly, but even in the first half he was so frustrated and ready to lose it at the refereeing team.

You’re a smarter person than I am. I watched it, but I’m not quite as upset as most people are, because I expected us to be robbed this way. Bent referees or incompetent, it was pretty much written in the stars for it to end in a draw.

I for one expecting a draw even when it hadn’t been postponed, and right now, I’m just thankful we got away from this with a point and no injuries.

Oliver though… I’ll let others use far more colourful words for that.

My Garmin watch says I may be irrratable today.

No shit after that. I had feeling we wouldn’t get much from the game. And so it was

It wasn’t even entertaining.
