Post Match: Everton v Liverpool (EPL 17/10/2020 12.30pm)

That’s some kind of bullshit eh!..

Well not fondness as such. I just didn’t hate them particularly. I do now though :+1:t2:

While Shearer was talking as they showed the “Tackle”, Lineker could be heard saying it should have been a sending off.

Oh they agreed did they…didn’t watch cause of the bitters smarm fan club.

As just mentioned in the VVD thread… John Henry needs to take these suits of the premier league to task for the piss-poor standard of referees and numpties monitoring VAR when serious damage to his players in particular… is being allowed by the incompetence of the officials and inflexible rules.

I think the word ‘hate’ is not adequate, try loathe, detest, abhor,
abominate or even despise.

What planet are we on that our third goal was disallowed?

It’s way past time we started calling these cheating, corrupt cunts out. We need to go after this twat Coote. Obviously still got a bee in his bonnet after Robbo had a go at him last season. It’s corrupt as fuck and needs sorting out.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, will ever convince me Atkinson doesn’t fuck us over at every chance because he’s fucking bent. Taylor shouldn’t be anywhere near our matches. Now we’ve got this fucking wanker to contend with.

just when I thought I had run out of reasons to use the word “unprecedented” this year …

Coote had his fucking revenge on us today, big time! As soon as they said VAR was checking for offside, I knew Coote would stick it to us. As for the Pickford incident, I’m just lost for words now.

I wonder if Robbo realises it was Coote on VAR today?

If that is the case then they should award us the match the same way they awarded United with a penalty against Brighton after the final whistle was blown.

Still prefer shithousecuntery tho :rage:

This may sound a touch tongue in cheek, but do these officials ever have to pass an eye test at the start of each season… ? I mean one that covers short and long sight… one that covers attention to detail… one that covers a need to pop your specs on to watch a clip on the pitch-side monitor (could that be a reason they are reluctant to do it)… Anyone that needs to wear glasses for whatever reason, will soon tell ya how difficult it is sometimes to manage without them… Whilst the weekly expanding waistline of Jon Moss can indicate why he struggles to keep up with play… It is not so obvious to pin-point failings within a referees eyesight… In short, are we actually being taken for fools, I mean are there any guidelines for referees and their eyesight requirements…?

It’s really special the way the league is utterly ruining the game with VAR. They are using it to piss around with millimetres on offsides, and not even applying it the worst tackles you’ve ever fucking seen.

Offside is easy. You have a look and if you can’t tell straightaway if it’s on or off, you give the fucking goal and everyone gets on with it. No messing about with lines and pixels. What happened today was ridiculous. And for avoidance of any doubt, I didn’t like it last season we we got those marginal calls against Wolves.

have heart folks - we’re the best team in this league and today did nothing to dispel that

God no, he should have saved the first goal, that was shocking keeping. He should also be claiming the second as well, but for some reason he didn’t step off his line when the cross came in from near the byline.

It’s an interesting theory but no more than that. Coote is a fucking cheat, just like Atkinson.

Adrian was dreadful for the first goal. Thought he should have saved the header but it’s his parry of the previous shot that lead to the corner in the first place that was poor. Should be doing better than that and we’ll struggle the longer he’s on goal and no VVD playing. Gomez was all over the place for the second goal.
Just focusing on us and not the officiating, we deserved to win by virtue of playing better and creating more chances. Continue to play like that but with Alisson in goal and we’ll be thereabouts again.
Thiago was immense as was Henderson.

The actual first time I’ve seen VAR legitimately fuck the game and put it into disrepute. Every other contentious VAR decision I’ve seen has been 50/50 and open for discussion. I’ve yet to see a single person say this is offside. Our captain scoring a last minute winner in the derby… Chalked off by blatant fixing or sheer incompetence. Compounded by VVD potentially out for a long time, and no punishment for Pickford whatsoever. Thiago takes a leg breaker and may be out too.

What a fucking shit show. Never felt so much injustice and/or anger after a game as this one. Not even against Villa, not even after Kiev.
