He came in with the usual Prem ref attitude of let’s make the game flow, whilst being oblivious to the snide challenges by the bitters in the first half. No point talking about the Trex on VvD “challenge” as the old boys network will protect the ref.
Highlight of the first half was “THE STARE” given by the ref to Richarlison, who had just handled the ball then walked off with it to let his team regroup. No talking to at all. To compound the matter, Everton equalized a few seconds from this incident. Some may support Adrian and say a bullet header, but a ball just above his head should be in pure reflex territory for a keeper.
And so on to the second half, where Digne’s throws would take 30 seconds from wiping the ball, and stepping a yard over the line, but not being called for a throw in.
Salah with a beauty to add to Mane’s opening goal which was cancelled out. Everton got their red way late then should have, but we still had time to carve a a chance which was ruled out for……….something thinner than Bobby’s armpit from last season. The prick Trex also pulled off outstanding saves after being kept on the pitch.
Gomez, Matip and Adrian need to work on their defending from crosses for sure. A point, but should have easily been three. Hopefully VvD is ok, else all is forgiven Dejan.

VAR isn’t the problem; the useless cunts using it are. The ones like Oliver who swallowed his whistle on Pickford’s challenge among other transgressions.
As far as the match goes, other than actually losing, it really couldn’t have gone much worse. Robbed of two points and might have lost Van Dijk for a prolonged period. With the defence already a shambles and the schedule ahead anything but easy.
TAA and Gomez better wake up and remember how to defend because right now they are no better than traffic cones out there. Adrian is hopeless, the sooner Alisson returns the better. After 5 games the GD is a big fat zero.
This season was shit to begin with and it’s starting to turn to fucking evil.

Absolute joke that Pickford isn’t sent off. So technically you can punch someone in the face when someone’s flagged for offside as game isn’t going on.
Why don’t VAR speak to Oliver and say yes it was offside (it wasn’t) but you need to see the foul by Pickford as it’s assault rather than a foul.
But they don’t and again the monitor isn’t used.
Peter Walton is a cunt who just backs var and the ref so he will always be a waste of space for a comment.

Exactly my doubt. I am not sure what these new rules are, but we are clearly missing something. I got confused last time around about the rules being different for attackers and defenders in the box. Now this elbow stuff is confusing.
You beat me to it I knew after the FSg involvement in that plan that we would get punished by the FA be prepared to a lot more of these shenanigans for the remainder of our matches. I know that manure will not get the same treatment
We more than deserved to win this game we will have to concentrate on the CL now I cannot see us win this league this year I am sorry if I am so negative but they got away with murder today.

No, what has been removed is calling offside from the position of a body part that one can score with. Simplifying a little here, but de facto, any part of the body now.
It isnt his elbow, but the bottom of his shirt sleeve. Still, even with that explanation I dont see how the lines they showed match up to the respective body parts, but that is not the first time Ive experienced that.

Need to stop watching us play for the sake of our health… Watch the repeat once we have won and don’t bother watching games like today. Its really injurious to heath and our hearts are still beating fast after that game.
This season is going to be a real arm wrestle. You can see it already.
We have the players to cope. Not at all concerned.
That said, the form of some of our defenders is a bit of a worry.

I don’t like him, never have. My opinion of the goal is nothing to do with that, he should do better. Why is he leaning back instead of keeping himself tall?

The problem as ever is that the camera angle of BT sport s not perfectly in line. I suspect the angle in the VAR’s image is. Because based on the image we’ve been shown the red and blue lines are the wrong way round.
