People wanted him SOLD after the City game where he was one of our better players, but missed chances.
Even with Nunez, I can take missed chances if he is involved in the game but lately he hasn’t been good enough in all aspects.

It’s going to be interesting to watch the documentary they’re shooting after this season is done.
I don’t think I’ll bother, maybe up to the league final
Walshy, your wish is coming true. New regime and new faces next season.
To compete the way we have done against ManCity115 fir years is massive. They have 2 A teams and a bottomless pit of money. We had so many injuries this season, i didn’t think we would be near enough to compete for the title and win a trophy with youngsters, i still think it was a good season.
I’ve been saying that injuries have taken their toll for a while now and they are indeed the primary cause of this collapse but starting games asleep and conceding first has also played a part. You can’t keep going to the well again and again thoughout a gruelling season to make comebacks. Especially now when you are struggling on every level. Klopp is partly responsible too, as he has allowed this poor habit set in for two years now, irrespective of form or personnel.
The one thing we had to do in order to win was to keep it tight and not give away another comically soft goal. Yet that’s exactly what we did after another piss poor start. After that we practically stood no chance with Jota and Gakpo out and with everyone else struggling to do the basics. The ref was a cunt but he wasn’t the problem. Liverpool as a whole were the problem. The embarrassingly bad Konate, Nunez and Salah. The rest who were outfought and outplayed. The subs that didn’t offer anything again. And as much as it pains me to say it, a manager who is suffering from the same lack of energy his players do.
It’s gut-wrenching that the final season of a living legend that promised so much comes to an end like this against the bitters of all teams.
I couldn’t watch much because of work. My chest hurts for Jürgen though. I saw him smiling somewhere between ruefully, ironically, and sadly, and it broke my heart. He certainly has experienced the full range of emotions with us.
YNWA, Jürgen. I’ll always be thankful. You made me smile even in my family’s most difficult times. And I’m sure I’m not alone.
I’m more gutted because Klopp looks really fucking tired. I want him to stay, but all his stuff about not thinking he hasn’t the energy to go again - maybe he knows what he’s talking about?
It isn’t just Salah and Darwin. There was one tonight in the second where Szob has the ball in the box, slightly to the right of the goal, and the shot is on. He is looking for the pass, which ends up playing to a blue shirt. There is a confidence issue around the whole team.
Salah and Darwin have both contributed a lot this season, even if they have been off the boil for the last couple. Salah has broken twenty goals for the sixth consecutive season, and Darwin has 17 goals and 12 assists.
It’s only a few weeks ago we were growing that we had the best attack in the league and no-one could live with our forwards. It’s disappointing that form has dropped in that time, but that’s what can happen.
I’m we’ll look for a centre back to replace Matip, but I wouldn’t be looking to move on Konate off the back of a few poor games.
this!!
with the euro’s will slot have enough time to coach his system to the players?
It seems that all our forwards were on form when they were competing for places, but since the injuries and the return of Mo, not blaming Mo, we have gone completely off the ball.
I always believe that competition drives player performance to another level and also, players keep their place if they play well, only fatigue should change that.
Therefore, there were too many unenforced changes today with players who performed against Fulham dropping out.
That’s my worry as well, would be worse with someone like Amorim if he played a completely different system
Haven’t seen any of the match, don’t think I need to. Same old same old by the sound of it.
I think Salah is done at this football club. Curtis Jones too. I’d give them both the rest of the season off, along with Nunez and Szoboslai. I’ve thought this for weeks, not just on what happened tonight.
People need to remember, the damage was being done from day 1 at Chelsea. At Brighton and Spurs. At home to Arsenal and City. Whatever the fuck we’ve been watching for the last month has just compounded things.
We’ll probably drift off now and finish 6 or 7 points behind the winners. Roughly the number of points we’ve had stolen off us. The Diaz disallowed goal and all the other fucking disgraceful decisions we’ve had against us will be overlooked because they wont be seen as making any difference but they are the fucking difference.
Anyway, play the young lads for the last 4 games. Clark, McConnell, Danns should start them all, give Gordon and Koumas a run out too.
Certainly make the case for Clark and Danns who have already shown they have the mettle, others should probably get a chance off the bench.
I do think there is a strong case to say whatever is up get it sorted for the next guy.
I see we committed twice as many fouls as Everton despite having something like 75% possession.
I just hope the likes of Forest shut the fuck up over the next few days so our continued ill-treatment by referees gets all the attention it deserves, as I’m sure it will.
Everton played well for 30 minutes. we played well for 30 games. is what it is.

We spent the last 20 minutes booting them instead of trying to play.
I don’t think there’s any sum of money (that we realistically can get from selling him) that can give us what he normally gives to the team. And I wouldn’t use a couple of months of bad form as the norm, but the rest of the season.
He is 31. Turns 32 before next season. Maybe it was worth hanging on to him this season as an asset to ensure CL play, but his time in the PL is done. He will be better off playing in a less physical league with a lower tempo, we will be better off selling before more of his value evaporates.

It just might be unbearable
I think we’ve always underestimated how much Klopp’s energy and motivating skills has driven these players forward over the years, making them overperform and find true greatness on a collective level.
Take that away, and what’s left is merely the sum of their individual talent.
Well said
Not going to toss the toys out of the pram over this.Been wondering for a while whether the never-ending (it seems) cycle of games is taking its toll.
For example, sometimes here Mo seemed stuffed or at least elsewhere, and he is usually a fairly keen player.
They are very fit athletes but not machines…and even they break down!
The chances of going top this season are, while mathematically possible, is extremely unlikely, unless the two crash very badly, and we find a new least of life.
