How you lose a game like that when you dominate possession and are never under any concerted pressure is beyond me. It stinks of lacking spine, commitment and pride.

Nyoni, Ngumoha, Munoz and Gomez the only ones to come out of that shambles with any credit.

Yes the Barcola up top thing was pretty baffling. Especially when he is likely to struggle with the intense demands of the PL and we are playing him needlessly, to be out of position, instead of somebody like Gakpo, Koumas or even Danns
We don´t seem to play much football or with fluidity still either, even if midfield controls the ball well enough, which is frustrating. Probably why we don´t create much.
Itâs sad when US Politics is more fun than Post Match

To be fair probably matters more.
The draw was kind and we did most of the tough work in the first 3 games.

Its not baffling though. Because when we were waiting to finish sign Barcola. The talk was that he could play across the front line. And many here said he could back up Isak. Not saying you.
Imo. he shouldnât play anywhere else except LW. He already cant finish, why put him striker or RW.
I must say you were correct about Nyoni and Macca behind Wirtz. Its the only trio that works well with a double pivot.

Random thoughts:
- Time to move on from Allison and Vvd
- Should of kept Kelleher and phased out Allison
- Nyoni is the real deal
- Araujo showed his worth with his absence.
- Dom got his chance and failed at #10.
- Bring in Camara or a fabinho type player and maybe Dom has a chance to play next to that type of player who can cover him.
- Spent huge on Barcola when Rio and Munoz are better than him.
- If we pretend Wirtz is a âŹ60m signing. Then its a great signing.
- Sign Barcelonas LB Alex Balde and keep kerkez as back up and get rid of tzmikas.

That was why Wirtz was brought in as Dom wasnât really good at No. 10.
The only way Dom works in the same team as Wirtz is when Dom plays RB. Otherwise, Dom will get into the same space as WirtzâŚ

Yep. Ali is starting to look a liability at times. Not convinced by Mama but I think Ali canât be our number 1 much longer. Virg needs to sit out more games and hopefully that will be possible as the season progresses. Iâd be happy for him to stay another season as cover ala JoGo but I donât think he should be captain starting. We shall see.
Yeah Dom doesnât really do much for me. He slows the play down when he gets the ball too often and we need something different. I still donât understand why Wirtz is always either ahead of the play around the penalty box when players are looking to pass out wide or too deep when the ball is central. AI needs to sort that out on the training pitch.
I noticed that as well as the season pans out. Our players bar for macca and our defenders seem very afraid of putting a challenge for the ball.
so p*f**ing frustrating watching the game. We donât need to give lessons on â how to lose a game needlessly â. But we do need some serious coaching on â how to act/react/pass the ball, when under pressure/ in a tight situation â. Really wish we had kept Kelleher. Hope AI reads them the riot act for below par performances. Still seething after going a goal up, and 2-1 up and losing because our lads didnât jump up for their third goal. I think a couple of our lads lack confidence and commitment, and hopefully they are watching Nyoni and Rio to get some inspiration of confidence
Yeah. And we only got about the same as we spent on Mama too from memory. Heâd have stayed with more game time and he could be no1 now.
